Stone eagles are one of the many different collectibles you can find in Sniper Elite: Resistance. Undermining the Nazi regime by picking off their awful sense of decor won’t get you anything other than the Spread Your Wings achievement/trophy, but it’s a great way to stick it to the fascists.
There are 21 stone eagles spread across the middle seven of Resistance’s nine missions. Hidden on roofs, cliffs, and bridges, quite a lot of them can be taken out without having to move an inch if you know where to look.
This guide uses top, bottom, left, and right relative to the map screen, instead of the north, south, east, and west you’ll see on the minimap compass. This is because the map screen rarely orients the map to be facing north.
Dead Drop
The first mission, Behind Enemy Lines, doesn’t have any stone eagles.
Dead Drop’s stone eagles are easy to find. Progress through the mission until you reach the first rooftop overlooking the city, and you’ll be able to snipe all three eagles from there. This is also the point where Axis Invasion can happen.

The eagle is on the roof of the building next to the basilica with red window shutters. It can be seen from the first rooftop balcony as you enter the city. |

#2 |
Staying on that roof sniping position, look over to the large castle to see the second eagle on a chimney. |
|
#3 |
Still from that sniping position, look to the right of the library (the large, domed building) to see the final eagle on a chimney. |

Sonderzuge Sabotage
Despite being one of a handful of nighttime missions, and also one of the game’s largest, Sonderzuge Sabotage gives you the chance to get all three eagles near the start.

From the patio you initially snipe the area from, turn around and look at roof of the building behind you. |

Also from the patio, look to the far north of the map to see the eagle on a large, brown, domed building. |

#3 |
On top of the clock out front of the green, pointy building where you search for cargo transport documents. This can’t be sniped from the starting location, but can be from where the jeep parks at the start of the mission. |

Collision Course
The rocky cliffs and large amounts of foliage can make finding the eagles in Collision Course quite difficult. Fortunately, this is one of the game’s smallest maps, and you’re already familiar with most of it from Behind Enemy Lines.

Cross the ravine from the starting location, and then look back to the tower you started at in Behind Enemy Lines to see the eagle. |

On the metal rafters at the bottom of the dam repairs. You can best see this from the other bridge, near where the tank is. |

Devil’s Cauldron
Another nighttime mission, the downside here is Devil’s Cauldron requires quite a bit of legwork to get all three eagles. The final eagle on the crane can also be incredibly easy to miss.

Assault on Fort Rouge
You don’t have to take a single step to hit all three eagles in Assault on Fort Rouge. You don’t even need to time your shots, because you’re far enough from every enemy that they can’t hear you.

Lock, Stock, And Barrels
Lock, Stock, And Barrels is the only mission that needs you to progress through the majority of it to get all three eagles. You’ll need to at least reach the zugwerfer station, which requires you working your way through the underground facility first.

End Of The Line
The last mission with stone eagles, End of the Line is another mission that lets you pick off all three eagles from the default starting position. You’ll need to walk to just before the steep, muddy hill to have the shot.
