Humorous sandbox dating simulator Date Everything was initially scheduled to release on February 14, 2025 – Valentine’s Day – due to the romantic association of that particular date. However, developer Ray Chase of Sassy Chap Games released a statement on social media today announcing that the game’s release date has been delayed. Date Everything is an expansive game featuring 100 dateable characters, and the Sassy Chap team has found that testing and bug fixing is taking longer than anticipated.

New Date Everything Release Date
According to Chase’s statement, Date Everything’s new release date will be June 2025. A specific date within the month of June has not been revealed. While it may not have the same romantic associations as Valentine’s Day, the month of June is still plenty associated with love – it is a popular month for weddings, to the point that “June bride” has become a commonly used phrase. This is the game’s second delay; it was first announced for an October 2024 release before being pushed back to Valentine’s Day. However, a release further removed from the extremely packed February could be beneficial for the game.

Chase, who is developing Date Everything alongside Robbie Daymond, Amanda Hufford, and others, says that the game is complete, but still requires a large amount of testing and bug fixing across its multiple routes and choices. He also hinted that the bugs and glitches encountered during testing would themselves be a dateable character, going by the name “Daemon.”
Date Everything sees the player character move into a house where inanimate objects and even concepts gain human forms. The player can form romantic relationships with a rubber duck, a table, a washer and dryer set, and much more. The game features branching narratives with three possible endings – love, friendship, and hate – for each of the one hundred dateable characters. Several characters have been revealed via Sassy Chap’s social media since the game’s reveal in mid-2024, most recently via a holiday advent calendar, but there are still many who have not yet been announced.
Anticipation for Date Everything has been high since its release due to its unique concept and large cast of characters voiced by popular actors, including Laura Bailey, Ben Starr, Roger Craig Smith, Neil Newbon, and more. While the delay is disappointing, fans are still excitedly awaiting the game when it launches in June. Perhaps the delay may even lead to more characters being teased before the final release, which would be particularly exciting.
