New packs tend to be added to Pokemon TCG Pocket once every couple of months. There’s only space for three of them on the home screen, though, which can make it seem as though some of the game’s older packs are no longer available, which just isn’t the case.

A complete list of all of the cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket and information on how to get them.
Using a very simple method, it’s possible to gain access to and open old packs in Pokemon TCG Pocket. What’s more, players can also spend any Pack Points they have left over, which should prove useful given that most Wonder Picks are made up mainly of newer cards.
How to Open Old Packs in Pokemon Pocket TCG
To open old booster packs, players will simply need to click on any of the booster packs shown on the home screen, which will take them to the open pack screen. Rather than hitting open, though, they’ll want to press the “Select other booster packs” button in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. From here, they’ll just need to choose the expansion containing the packs they want to open (which, in most people’s cases will probably be the Genetic Apex expansion), and then pick one of the available packs.
Can I still Use My Genetic Apex Pack Points?
Thankfully, players can still use any Genetic Apex Pack Points they have saved up, and the process for doing so is actually rather simple. Much like with opening old packs, players will need to click on any of the available booster packs on the home screen and then choose the “Select other booster packs” option in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. They’ll then just need to choose Genetic Apex and click on the Pack Points icon to begin spending their Pack Points as they usually would.
How Long Will Old Packs Be Available in Pokemon TCG Pocket?
As of the moment, there’s been no official word on how long old packs will remain available in Pokemon TCG Pocket. However, looking at the “Select Expansion” screen, it appears as though there’s space for six different expansions, suggesting that this could be the maximum amount that will be available at any given time. Of course, the developers could quite easily make room for more expansions if they really wanted to, so it’s possible that old packs will end up being available indefinitely, or, at the very least cycled in and out alongside some of the newer Pokemon TCG Pocket expansions.
