The Reinforced Barrel attachment boosts the AR’s ranged capabilities with a much-needed buff to bullet velocity and the effective damage range.

Where is the Cypher 091 in BO6 meta?

With top-tier mobility and improved accuracy using meta attachments, the Cypher 091 is among the best Assault Rifles in the game for mid-range combat. Its TTK holds up against weapons like the XM4 and AMES 85 at the 50-meter mark. However, there is a noticeable drop-off beyond that distance and its slow fire rate doesn’t help either.

While it can hold its own at long ranges if you’re able to land your shots consistently, you might be better off with the absolute meta guns.

How to unlock the Cypher 091 in Black Ops 6

To unlock the Cypher 091, you’ll need to complete Page 8 of the Season 2 Battle Pass. The weapon is an HVT tier reward so you’ll have to gather enough tokens to unlock all the rewards on Page 8 before finally using a token to claim the Assault Rifle. The weapon is completely free to unlock so there’s no need to purchase the premium BP track. 

Best alternatives

The XM4 is the most obvious alternative since it continues to dominate meta and it is also well-balanced in every aspect. If you’re looking for a better fire rate without compromising on accuracy, the AMES 85 is also worth trying out.
