Magic Pot

Summon Eldritch Protection

In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, players who purchase the deluxe edition of the game will have access to a unique summon called Magic Pot. This peculiar ally is not obtained through the usual means of defeating it in the Combat Simulator but is instead unlocked via the DLC Bonus menu. Magic Pot is described as an ‘eldritch jar,’ which hints at its mysterious and otherworldly nature.

When summoned into battle, an enigmatic creature emerges from within the jar, ready to protect and support your party members with its magical abilities. While the eldritch being remains inside the jar for most of the battle, its presence is still felt. With its ultimate attack, Magic Elixir, the eldritch bursts out in a display that reminds you of dazzling fireworks, and this dramatic show gives your characters an HP boost.

Moogle Trio

Master Of Coordinated Attacks

Moogle Trio is another special Summon you get from the DLC Bonus menu. The Moogle Trio, as the name suggests, consists of three charming Moogles who work together in perfect harmony to assist you in battle.

When summoned, these small, lovable creatures will hover around your party, staying close by to provide support and unleash coordinated attacks against your foes. Their ultimate ability, known as Kupvalse, is a sight to behold. When activated, the Moogle Trio unleashes a dazzling beam attack that not only inflicts significant damage but also helps to stagger your target.

Ifrit

If you played the previous game, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, you might remember Ifrit from there. Ifrit is a powerful starting Summon that embodies the essence of fire itself. This mighty being takes the form of a horned, demonic creature wreathed in flames.

Its attacks are focused and intense, making it an excellent choice if you’re looking to exploit enemy weaknesses to fire. Many common enemies throughout the game are vulnerable to fire, allowing Ifrit to make short work of them. However, some enemies, particularly bosses and more powerful foes, may possess resistance to fire damage. In such cases, you will need to adapt your strategies accordingly.

Shiva

The Ice Queen

Shiva is a recurring Summon in the Final Fantasy series, often depicted as an ice queen. Shiva retains her iconic appearance as a blue, ethereal figure who wields ice magic. When summoned during combat, Shiva can use a range of ice-based attacks to deal damage to enemies.

She can also cast an ultimate move called Diamond Dust, which typically deals heavy ice damage to all enemies on the battlefield. However, just like in Ifrit’s case, some enemies in the game are resistant or even immune to ice damage.

This Summon brings a dynamic pair onto the battlefield: a Chocobo and a Moogle, the latter being an adorable yet surprisingly formidable ally. The second, Infernal Rush, is a series of rapid strikes that can really whittle down an enemy’s health. You also need minimal ATB to execute any of its powerful moves. This will allow you to call on Bahamut Arisen more frequently. Like the other Summons, you get bonuses for these attacks.

Odin is one of the best Summons for combat-oriented builds. The Summon brings in better damage numbers than Bahamut Arisen. Odin’s ultimate move, Zantetsuken, has a reputation for being a one-hit wonder. When executed, there’s a chance that Odin will instantly kill all enemies on the screen that are not immune to instant death effects.

Then there’s Ring of Helheim, which is your go-to move if you’re trying to make your enemies easier to knock down. Odin’s substantial stat boosts and powerful abilities make the Summon an invaluable asset in tackling these late-game challenges, providing you with the extra edge you need to emerge victorious.

​​​​​​​Gilgamesh is the ultimate wildcard you can bring into battle. You’d summon him when you want an all-rounder—someone who can do a bit of everything. He wields a wide array of weapons, each with its own unique properties and abilities.

This allows him to adapt to various combat situations and exploit enemy weaknesses. Despite his incredible power, Gilgamesh’s skills require a relatively low amount of ATB charges, allowing you to activate his abilities frequently. However, you will first need to challenge and defeat him as a boss on a secret island.
