Overwatch 2 is one of the better entry-level titles for gamers who may not have the best top-of-the-range rigs. This free-to-play shooter can be played on older machines, and will still give the players a solid gaming experience, despite being a slightly newer title in comparison to other top esports games. If you’re curious about the Overwatch 2 size, don’t worry, you won’t have to splash the big bucks to get additional storage.
Here’s everything you need to know about Overwatch 2 game size and system requirements.
Overwatch 2 size
Compared to other major esports titles such as League of Legends, VALORANT esports, and more, Overwatch 2 download size is rather generous at 50 GB. This doesn’t mean it is a flat 50, however, as there will always be updates and future patches that players will have to take into account. As this is a competitive title, there will constantly be updates as the meta evolves over the year, so be aware that you’re going to need more than the 50 GB needed to just get through the door.
Overwatch system requirements
Although Overwatch 2 can be played on lower-end machines according to it’s size and requirements, the processor is more valuable than the graphics card for a game like this. Take League of Legends for example. While having a decent graphics card is nice, the game is more of a processor-reliant title. Overwatch 2 kind of runs on the same line, with the processor being the far more valuable piece of hardware, as opposed to the graphics card.
Overwatch 2 is chaotic at the slowest of times, with mass team fights coming from every direction, players will notice there are a lot of processes occurring simultaneously, with hero abilities flying across the screen. This is all happening while you’re having to use your own weapon and abilities, putting more strain on the machine.
