A year and a half following its PC release, Turbo Overkill made its way to consoles, launching for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch on January 29. Although Apogee already confirmed that console ports of Turbo Overkill were in the works back in early 2024, their arrival still took fans by surprise because the publisher didn’t make any release date announcements, nor did it offer the game for pre-orders.
Turbo Overkill Gets PC Discount Alongside Console Ports
The arrival of the boomer shooter’s console versions coincides with a new sale that Apogee just launched on Steam, offering Turbo Overkill for $13.58—25% off its regular price. This special promotion will run until February 12. The game’s Steam player impressions match its strong critical reception, with Turbo Overkill presently boasting over 5,400 “Overwhelmingly Positive” user reviews on Valve’s storefront. Looking at the contents of these ratings, many players praised Turbo Overkill‘s cyberpunk setting and over-the-top violence, as well as its incredibly hectic gunplay and compelling progression curve, among other qualities.

According to an average of estimates from VG Insights, PlayTracker, Gamalytic, and SteamSpy, the PC version of Turbo Overkill has sold approximately 300,000 copies as of early 2025. Its newly released ports could potentially significantly boost the game’s lifetime sales tally.
