Summary

  • Logan and Jake Paul tease boxing match set for March 27, stirring up excitement among fans.
  • Jake Paul focuses on boxing with recent wins, while Logan Paul veers towards wrestling.
  • Conor McGregor’s fight against Logan Paul canceled due to UFC contract obligations.

Controversial YouTube and social media stars Logan and Jake Paul are teasing a potential boxing match between each other, posting onto social media what is now expected to be the day of the bout. The highly-anticipated match between the controversial YouTube stars, which fans of the brothers have supposedly “waited a decade” for, is slated to take place on March 27.

The famous YouTuber brothers made a seemingly head-scratching decision several years ago when they began competing in the sport of boxing, with both debuting in 2018. While Logan more recently gravitated more towards wrestling, controversially winning the WWE United States Championship against Rey Mysterio in 2023, Jake seems more planted in boxing. He most recently made headlines for winning a match against 58-year-old Mike Tyson last year, with his brother Logan there to support him. Now, however, the Paul brothers will be on opposing sides of the ring, should the fight go through.

The announcement of the potentially impending boxing match between Logan Paul and Jake Paul came via Twitter, with both brothers posting a fight poster facing off with each other. The relatively simple poster features the brothers staring each other down, featuring a red background dotted with plenty of lights, along with the date of March 27 and the Max logo. While interestingly on an entirely different streaming service than Netflix, which is where the Paul vs. Tyson fight was streamed, the announcement is somewhat vague, although Max’s official Twitter account has retweeted both of their posts.

While Logan Paul going up against his slightly more prolific brother has now appeared, his other, arguably higher-profile fight has been canceled. MMA fighter and UFC legend Conor McGregor recently explained why the Logan Paul fight isn’t happening despite accepting the bout last December, stating that he is still under contract from the UFC, and that the organization apparently “just aren’t into it.” Eyeing a return to the octagon by the end of 2025, it looks like McGregor will need to first enter the octagon for at least a few fights before stepping into the ring with Logan.

A Potential Paul vs. Paul Fight

Although one of Logan Paul’s potential opponents may be barred by a contract, Jake Paul has one claiming to be ready to go. Boxer Tommy Fury has challenged Jake Paul to a rematch, but each camp has been critical of the other, with both throwing claims at the other for supposedly declining or backing out of potential proposals. While the planning of fights against more established fighters has proven shaky, the potential Paul vs. Paul fight will hopefully be one that actually happens.
