Completing Sniper Elite Resistance missions stealthily is a tough job, even on lower difficulties. Sometimes, things can go sideways, and you are forced to switch to a more guns-blazing approach to escape a dangerous situation. SMGs are a great secondary weapon to help you in those situations, especially the ones that you can use an extended magazine attachment with. The more bullets you can fire before having to reload, the better chances you’ll have of surviving an ambush by Nazis.

How to Unlock SMG Extended Magazine Attachment in Sniper Elite Resistance

Players can unlock the Extended Magazine attachment by finding the SMG Workbench during Mission 3: Sonderzüge Sabotage in Sniper Elite Resistance. You can find the workbench inside a locked building on the southmost part of the map, in the Old Town area. The area has some enemies in the courtyard, with an alarm in the middle that the enemies can sound if you’re detected.

Here’s how to reach the SMG Workbench in Mission 3 safely.

Reaching the SMG Workbench in Mission 3

Once you arrive at the courtyard in the Old Town, use your binoculars to detect all the enemies nearby. Once all of them are marked, proceed to eliminate them as silently as possible. If you don’t have a suppressor on your weapon, you should disable the alarm first.

After taking out all the enemies in the area, descend the steps and enter the courtyard to find a locked door under the steps. Either use the lockpick or the bolt cutters to unlock the door. Inside, you’ll find the SMG workbench, and a table with a lot of lootable items next to it. Interacting with the SMG workbench will unlock the extended magazine attachment.

Inside the SMG Workbench menu, select your current Sub-machine gun and head inside the attachment menu for it. In the Magazine section, you can select the Extended Magazine attachment for it.

The SMG Extended Magazine attachment will increase the overall bullet capacity by 10 rounds, increasing the total mag capacity from 30 to 40 rounds. Having an increased number of rounds will help a lot in situations when you’re detected and need to eliminate multiple enemies at the same time.
