Hogwarts Legacy is arguably the best game ever set in the Harry Potter universe. Not only does it feature a massive open world that allows players to explore every corner of Hogwarts, as well as its surroundings, but it also presents players with an exciting story revolving around Ancient Magic and the powerful elements it contains.

Among many other things, the game features a complete spell system that allows players to try different combinations and develop a playstyle they’re comfortable with, no matter their preferences. Some spells are extremely destructive, while others are simply meant to incapacitate enemies or manipulate them in the air. Here are some of the best 4-spell combos in Hogwarts Legacy.

However, it took a few months for fans to test and develop the right spell combos that were both effective and destructive. While combining 4 spells in a row is almost always very damaging and deadly, using the right ones in the right order can go a long way and turn an apprentice wizard or witch into a horror story for poachers. Many of the spells on this list will be available in the early-to-mid stages of the game, but there are others that players will have to wait a bit longer for.

Glacius + Arresto Momentum + Petrificus Totalus + Bombarda

Freeze Enemies Where They Stand, Then Blow Them Up

• Great for crowd control
• Combining Glacius, Arresto Momentum and Petrificus Totalus can make dealing with several enemies easier

While playing offense is always very fun, sometimes taking a defensive approach or simply focusing on crowd control can go a long way and make even the toughest situations much simpler. By combining Glacius, Arresto Momentum, Petrificus Totalus, and Bombarda, players can freeze some of their enemies, petrify others, and slow down the rest—all to deliver a final explosive blow that many will not recover from.

This combo focuses on keeping minor enemies at bay, so players can turn their attention and efforts on bringing down the larger threats first.

Transformation + Diffindo + Bombarda + Protego

By itself, the Transformation spell is one of the best and most versatile in the entirety of Hogwarts Legacy. However, when combined with the Transformation Mastery Talent, it becomes a force to be reckoned with, as it turns enemies into explosive objects.

Once enemies are in the form of explosive barrels, players can fling them at their enemies, follow the attack with Diffindo, then Bombarda, and finally, protect themselves from incoming attacks with Protego. Although Diffindo can be combined with other spells like Glacius more effectively, this combination is still very powerful and should be in every witch or wizard’s arsenal.

Levioso + Accio + Incendio + Depulso

Lift Enemies In The Air, And Send Them Flying In A Blaze Of Glory

• Levioso isn’t as powerful as Wingardium Leviosa
• Players can use Levioso to incapacitate enemies in the air

Levioso is one of the first spells that players can learn while playing Hogwarts Legacy. Its more powerful alternative, Wingardium Leviosa, was introduced in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the film that started it all and brought J.K. Rowlings’ literary work to the big screen. Levioso is a little nerfed compared to Wingardium Leviosa, as it doesn’t allow the caster to move the objects they’re lifting freely—it’s simply limited to lifting them in the air.

That said, when combined with Accio, Incendio, and Expulso, Levioso becomes an extremely powerful spell that can incapacitate enemies and lift them in the air, making them vulnerable to the other three spells. Accio helps bring enemies closer, while Incendio and Expulso set them ablaze and throw them to the nearest wall, or over the nearest cliff.

Levioso + Glacius + Diffindo + Protego

Blast Enemies Into A Thousand Pieces And Use Protective Measures

• Levioso can be combined with a wide variety of spells to make amazing combos
• Glacius and Diffindo are extremely powerful by themselves

Having discussed the power of Levioso, it should come as no surprise that it can also be used in combination with other spells, such as Glacius, Diffindo, and Protego. By keeping enemies suspended in the air, players can cast the other spells without having to worry about missing in the process. Glacius and Diffindo are, by themselves, an incredibly powerful combo that allows players to deal with most enemies in a split second, especially if they have the right damage-boosting Traits and Talents equipped.

By using this 4-spell combo, players can lift enemies into the air, freeze them solid with Glacius and hit them with Diffindo to make them explode into tiny icicles. Protego is just the cherry on top, as it will ensure that players are ready for other enemies’ attacks instead of being hit and taking damage from them.

Accio + Flipendo + Bombarda + Depulso

Flipping Airborne Enemies Has Never Been More Entertaining

• Accio is very useful in shortening the distance between players and enemies
• Bombarda is great at inflicting massive damage, and Depulso allows for environmental kills

The Accio spell is extremely useful for a wide variety of purposes. Most players who grew up watching the Harry Potter film franchise and playing each installment’s video game releases probably wished more than once that they could use Accio to find their lost keys or reach a distant glass of water. Combined with Flipendo, Bombarda, and Depulso, Accio is an extremely powerful resource in Hogwarts Legacy that will help players deal with most enemies in the blink of an eye.

Accio will draw enemies closer to players, while Flipendo will turn them upside-down, incapacitating them for a short period. Then, Bombarda will deal a considerable amount of damage, and Depulso will send them flying through the air to hit the nearest wall, or take a multi-hundred-foot plunge from a cliff or a high structure.

An Explosive Combo That Deals Massive Damage

• Incendio makes this combo very destructive
• Using Bombarda after Depulso is a great way to deal additional damage to enemies after slamming them against a wall or object

Very similar to the last entry’s 4-spell combo, this one also uses Accio to pull enemies closer, and also takes advantage of the explosive power of Bombarda, and the propelling capabilities of Depulso, but it also adds another layer of destructive power by introducing Incendio into the mix. In Hogwarts Legacy, this approach has its advantages and disadvantages, as it allows for greater damage, but it also takes out the possibility of incapacitating enemies in the air, which is sometimes useful when dealing with a crowd or simply for taking one’s time.

By finishing the combo with Bombarda instead of Depulso, players can deal explosive damage to enemies that have already been slammed against the nearest wall, increasing the chances of finishing them off on the spot.

Glacius + Confringo + Expelliarmus + Diffindo

A Relentless Combo That Poachers Fear

• Confringo is great for breaking red shields and interacting with the environment
• Combining it with Glacius, Expelliarmus, and Diffindo is a great idea to deal considerable damage

In Hogwarts Legacy, Confringo is one of those spells that have almost no bad things about them. Overall, it’s a very complete spell that allows players to not only deal damage to enemies and break red shields, but also interact with the environment and open up a new world of possibilities. By using Glacius followed by Confringo, Expelliarmus, and Diffindo, players can create a 4-spell combo that will freeze enemies, thaw them out, and then disarm them by knocking their wands out of their hands—all to finish with a slashing attack courtesy of the Diffindo spell.

All in all, this combo is probably one of the most efficient and damaging in the game, and it also makes for a parade of different color temperatures that are pleasing to the eye.
