- Reaction to the February 2025 free games remains uncertain, but fans might not be happy.
The free PlayStation Plus games for February 2025 have been officially revealed. Every month, PlayStation Plus subscribers are treated to a fresh batch of free games. These free games are typically spread between PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, though the clock is ticking for free PS4 games on PS Plus.
Sony has confirmed that while it won’t be completely moving away from giving away free PS4 games through PS Plus, such titles will no longer “be a key benefit” and will only be “occasionally offered” through the various PS Plus tiers starting January 2026. This is an unfortunate development for PS4 gamers that have yet to upgrade to the PS5, but on the bright side, they still have a full year of free titles to look forward to.

The next batch of free PS Plus games will be available on Tuesday, February 4. On that day, PS Plus subscribers will be able to claim Payday 3, High on Life, and Pac-Man World: Re-Pac for their digital libraries. Notably, a native PS4 version of Payday 3 doesn’t exist, so PS4 gamers will be missing out on that game. However, High on Life and Pac-Man World: Re-Pac will be available to PS Plus subscribers on both PS4 and PS5.
Free PS Plus Games for February 2025
- High on Life (PS4/PS5)
- Pac-Man World: Re-Pac (PS4/PS5)
- Payday 3 (PS5)
It remains to be seen exactly how PS Plus subscribers will react to the February 2025 free games. Payday 3 earned mostly negative reviews and while it’s made an effort to improve, there are still many who aren’t willing to give the FPS a chance. High on Life, meanwhile, is plenty entertaining in its own right for fans of Rick and Morty-style humor, but others may find it a little obnoxious. Pac-Man World: Re-Pac might be the most well-received of the bunch, as it’s a remake of a fan favorite platformer, but it being an older release may still rub some PS Plus subscribers the wrong way.
If the free PS Plus games for February 2025 are received poorly as predicted, it will be two rough months in a row for the service. The free PS Plus games for January 2025 weren’t particularly popular either, with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, and The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe on offer. Those games are still available to PS Plus subscribers that have yet to claim them, though they weren’t particularly well-received. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues with the March 2025 free PS Plus games, or if March’s offerings are a little higher quality.
