Resolution Games has revealed Demeo x Dungeons and Dungeons: Battlemarked. The upcoming title combines the Dungeons and Dragons universe with the Swedish developer’s own role-playing system.
Demeo is a dungeon-crawling virtual reality game that originally debuted on PC in May 2021 before receiving a PlayStation VR2 port two years later. In early 2024, Wizards of the Coast and Resolution Games announced a partnership that would see the Swedish company make an officially licensed DnD VR game.

It’s been bit of a quiet year for the virtual reality genre, but there have been a handful of VR games that are worth putting on the headset for.
That project has now been officially revealed in the form of Demeo x Dungeons and Dragons: Battlemarked, which was treated to an announcement trailer on January 29. The minute-long promo video is of the live-action variety and doesn’t show any gameplay footage. However, it reveals that the upcoming Dungeons and Dragons VR game will not only leverage Resolution’s experience from Demeo but also serve as a full-fledged crossover between the two IPs.
Demeo x Dungeons and Dragons: Battlemarked Won’t Have a DM
Demeo‘s tabletop role-playing system will hence be at the core of the upcoming title. Compared to the traditional Dungeons and Dragons experience, Battlemarked won’t have a dungeon master. Instead, the game is designed with a focus on social strategy, encouraging players to talk with one another, jointly making tactical and story decisions. While the Demeo role-playing system will be at the heart of Battlemarked, the game will combine it with Dungeons and Dragons classes and actions, on top of drawing from the rich lore of the franchise.
Aside from group decision-making, Resolution’s action role-playing system also incorporates survival elements, which helped Demeo develop a reputation as a distinct Dungeons and Dragons-inspired game, rather than just a mere clone. Seeing how the developer hasn’t yet committed to a concrete release window for the project, Demeo x Dungeons and Dungeons: Battlemarked seems unlikely to hit the market in the immediate future.
Demeo x Dungeons and Dragons: Battlemarked Will Have DLC Campaigns
In terms of target platforms, the game has so far been confirmed for PC, extended reality devices, and an unspecified “console”—most likely the PS5, seeing how Sony’s current-gen system is the only contemporary console with an accompanying VR headset. Resolution Games has yet to share any pricing details for Demeo x Dungeons and Dungeons: Battlemarked. For reference, Demeo retails for $39.99 on Steam and the Meta Store. Two narrative-driven campaigns will be available in Battlemarked at launch, with Resolution Games planning to introduce even more of them in the form of DLC. The post-release content will presumably be paid, though the developer hasn’t outright confirmed that.
