Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players have been left baffled after the game’s Season 2 update secretly made a major change to the Nacht Raider operator skin, which is granted to players as a free reward for reaching Prestige 1. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s Season 2 update went live on January 28, making plenty of bug fixes and bringing some much-needed new content to the game, but the change to the Nacht Raider skin was seemingly absent from the official patch notes.

Call of Duty‘s wild operator skins have been a controversial topic among the community for quite some years now, but the debate seems to have reached its peak with the release of Black Ops 6. From neon green dragons to unicorn finishing moves, Black Ops 6 seems to have taken unrealistic cosmetics to another level, and the majority of fans aren’t happy about it. Thankfully, there are some more down-to-earth operator skins that can be earned for free, such as the zombie-fied version of Weaver that is available as a Prestige 1 reward.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has no shortage of over-the-top cosmetic bundles, but one of them is hopefully a sign of more to come.

Black Ops 6’s Nacht Raider Operator Skin Changed With Season 2 Update

With most players having already reached Prestige 1 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the Nacht Raider skin is a fan-favorite cosmetic choice for most players. Unfortunately, developer Treyarch Studios appears to have drastically altered the skin with the game’s Season 2 update. As noted by Twitter user ModernWarzone, the skin now has a large skull attached to it, which wasn’t there before the Season 2 update and was also not mentioned anywhere in the patch notes. The addition of a skull is pretty out of the blue, so there is some speculation from fans that this is merely a bug, although it has yet to be addressed by Treyarch Studios.

Although this certainly isn’t a game-breaking bug, it is just one of the many issues plaguing the shooter at the moment. Black Ops 6‘s Season 2 update did aim to address one of its most annoying bugs, which saw the “Congratulations, you’ve Mastered Prestige” screen appear repeatedly after every match, but some players are still reporting the bug to be present after downloading and installing the update. The patch also brought with it a number of other issues for both Black Ops 6 and Warzone, such as the inability to join friends’ parties and players being kicked when attempting to use the split-screen functionality. Thankfully, Treyarch is already investigating both of these issues (among many others).

Call of Duty‘s highly-anticipated Season 2 update brought plenty of content to Black Ops 6, but Warzone fans were once again left disappointed by the lack of new content. Prior to the update’s release, Activision announced that Warzone would have less content than initially planned for Season 2 as the studio wanted to prioritize gameplay tuning, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements. This meant that Season 2 only saw the addition of a new perk (with another coming in the mid-season update) and new Ranked Play rewards.
