Season 2 for Black Ops 6 and Warzone has arrived, bringing with it a plethora of additional content for fans to dive into. This latest season is filled with nostalgia, with the debut of the Lifeline 6v6 map, which looks eerily similar to Hijacked, and the return of the PPSH-41. However, fresh content also arrives in the form of the Cypher 091.
The Cypher 091 is yet another Assault Rifle introduced post-launch for both Black Ops 6 and Warzone. This bullpup full-auto rifle boasts excellent handling and mobility, along with great accuracy. However, its firepower is on the lower side, making it essential for players to kit it out with the best loadout.

How To Unlock The Cypher 091
The Cypher 091 is one of three weapons introduced in the Season 2 Battle Pass. To unlock it, players must first unlock all previous rewards within Page 8 of the Battle Pass using their earned Tokens. Once done, the Cypher 091 will be available to claim. Claiming rewards with Tokens can be done manually or by enabling the Token Bank Auto Spend feature in the Battle Pass menu.
Since the Cypher 091 is a free reward, players do not need to purchase the Season 2 Battle Pass outright. However, those who want to skip the grind can earn their rewards faster by purchasing either the BlackCell Pass or the Season 2 Battle Pass Bundle and utilizing their 20-tier skips.
Once Season 2 comes to a close, the Cypher 091 will enter the Armory for those who have not already acquired it.

First up is a solid Cypher 091 build tailored specifically for Multiplayer. The setup showcased above offers a fast time-to-kill, great damage range, and excellent accuracy to help players stay on target.
Additional benefits include improved handling attributes, such as a better sprint-to-fire time and aim-down-sight speed, along with enhanced mobility—perfect for the fast-paced nature of Black Ops 6 Multiplayer.
Best Black Ops 6 Perks & Wildcard
- Gung-Ho (Perk 1)
- Assassin (Perk 2)
- Double Time (Perk 3)
- Enforcer (Specialty)
- Gunfighter (Wildcard)
Few Perks manage to top the list when it comes to the absolute best, but those highlighted above are generally the go-to options. Benefits of the Perks listed include a drastic increase in tactical sprint and general movement speed when reloading, along with a significant boost to tactical sprint duration—excellent for reducing movement penalties and staying agile.
Other key advantages include the ability to highlight players with high killstreaks on the minimap, as well as movement and health regeneration buffs after each elimination. When it comes to Wildcards, the obvious go-to is Gunfighter, granting players a powerful eight-attachment build for their Cypher 091.
Black Ops 6 Secondary Recommendations
Though a bunch of new weapons have arrived for Season 2, the meta options for Secondaries remain largely unchanged. For a reliable swap to a Secondary, the Grekhova cements itself as an excellent option, delivering a fast fire rate for a solid time-to-kill. If a pocket Submachine Gun is more appealing, however, the Sirin 9mm is also a solid choice.

- Willis 3x (Optic)
- Compensator (Muzzle)
- Reinforced Barrel (Barrel)
- Vertical Foregrip (Underbarrel)
- Extended Mag II (Magazine)
Next up is a solid Warzone build for the Cypher 091, this time focusing more on improving bullet velocity as well as damage range. As a rule of thumb, Multiplayer builds do not benefit from improved bullet velocity—especially Submachine Guns and Assault Rifles—since enemies are already within hitscan range, and it limits the increase of damage range. For Warzone, however, bullet velocity is generally quite useful.
Other perks of the above build include greatly reduced recoil for better accuracy, and a larger magazine—perfect for dispatching opponents with less of a need to reload in between gunfights.
Best Warzone Perks & Wildcard
- Mountaineer (Perk 1)
- Sprinter (Perk 2)
- Resolute (Perk 3)
- Overkill (Wildcard)
Mobility is key in Warzone, and while some of the best Perks for Season 2 remain largely the same, adjustments have been made to existing Perks following the latest update. Therefore, players can look to the above Perks to ensure they can keep up with the best in the game. Benefits of this Perk Package include reduced fall damage, along with the ability to tactical sprint indefinitely.
Other advantages include a boost to movement when taking damage from enemies—perfect for staying out of enemy fire when fleeing to cover or to outmaneuver opponents. When it comes to Wildcards, the best option for Warzone is clear: Overkill is a must, allowing players to run two Primary weapons in their loadouts.
Warzone Secondary Recommendations
For Warzone, the general rule for increasing the odds of victory is to run two Primary weapons, as it adds extra versatility to how players approach gunfights. Since the Cypher 091 handles most mid-range engagements and is decent from afar, players have two choices. The first is to run a solid Submachine Gun for hectic close-range gunfights. The top options here include the Saug, the PP-919, and the Jackal PDW.
However, if players prefer picking off opponents from a distance, a solid Sniper Rifle will work just fine. Standout Sniper Rifles for Season 2 include the LW3A1 Frostline and the AMR Mod 4—one excelling in speed, while the other focuses on raw damage.
