Sniper Elite Resistance: Kill Philo Beck with a Rat Bomb
Get a Rat Bomb
The first step towards completing this task is obtaining a rat bomb. While several of those items can be found throughout this Sniper Elite: Resistance level, perhaps the easiest one to obtain is extremely close to the West Gate starting location. More specifically, there is a rat bomb in the attic of the dilapidated building that players will encounter just after starting the second mission, and the following map and images should make it quite easy to find.
Place the Rat Bomb
After obtaining a rat bomb, players should make their way to a restaurant in the top-right quadrant of the map. Indeed, Philo Beck is in that establishment when he is in a neutral state, and the restaurant’s precise position has been marked on the following map.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, players should sneak through an open door on its west side to enter the kitchen and then pass through the door on their right. Fans of sniper games will now find themselves behind a counter, and they will see the outline of a rat on the ground. Interacting with that outline will place the rat bomb.
The Focus mechanic is very helpful when attempting to place the rat bomb, as it allows players to monitor the positions of Philo and any other enemies that are in the restaurant. This makes it easy to keep Philo in a neutral state, which is the ideal state for killing him with a rat bomb.
Wait for Philo Beck
Once the rat bomb is placed, players must simply wait for Philo to approach it. Indeed, the target will detonate the rat bomb without any further intervention, and fans of stealth games will complete the task, receive some XP, and unlock the Nagant M1895 pistol as soon as the explosion occurs.
Sniper Elite Resistance: Nagant M1895 Pistol
The M1895 is a pistol with extremely high damage, and it may be of interest to players who have an aggressive playstyle in Sniper Elite: Resistance. The weapon is quite loud, though, having a default audible range of 75m. While fans will eventually be able to reduce that range significantly, with something like an integral suppressor barrel, they should not expect to get many stealth kills with the M1895 initially.
