  • A shiny Enamorus is available as a reward for completing the Hisui Pokedex from Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

Pokemon Home has started giving away shiny variants of Enarmous and Manaphy, the former of which is a new addition to the app. However, taking advantage of this offer is easier said than done, as it involves completing multiple Pokemon Home Pokedexes.

Nintendo’s cloud service for storing and transferring pocket monsters was originally launched in February 2020. Since then, Pokemon Home has regularly offered free pocket monsters via giveaways.

What to Expect From the Pokemon Franchise in 2025

Pokemon games will enjoy a wide variety of content in 2025, with Pokemon Legends: Z-A at the helm and leaks hinting at more releases.

Continuing this trend, the app started offering shiny variants of Manaphy and Enarmous on Tuesday, January 28. However, neither of them is available to just about everyone, but is instead only claimable by Pokemon Home users who complete their Generation 8 Pokedexes.

How To Get Shiny Enamorus in Pokemon Home

Since Enamorus was originally introduced in Pokemon Legends: Arceus in early 2022, obtaining its shiny variant in Pokemon Home requires catching all mons from that game and transferring them to the app. After completing the Hisui Pokedex, players will need to verify their achievement via the “Games” tab in Pokemon Home. Doing so will net them a free shiny Enamorus. This offer marks the first occasion on which the ultra-rare variant of the Legendary Pokemon is available in the app.

How To Get Shiny Manaphy in Pokemon Home

Meanwhile, getting a shiny Manaphy in Pokemon Home is currently possible by completing the Sinnoh Pokedex from Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. As with Enamorus, the final step is to verify the completion of the Generation 4 Pokedex via the in-app “Games” tab. While Manaphy technically had its shiny debut before, most Pokemon Home users likely don’t have it. This is because it was only obtainable by transferring a Manaphy egg from Pokemon Ranger and then getting lucky with the shiny RNG roll upon hatching—a 1 in 8,192 chance. Failing the roll meant restarting Pokemon Ranger and progressing back to the point of obtaining the egg, a time-consuming process that deterred all but the most dedicated of shiny hunters.

The newly introduced shiny Manaphy and Enamorus offers were announced without specific expiration dates, suggesting they may be available to claim indefinitely. Pokemon Home is likely to introduce similar incentives for completing Pokemon Legends: Z-A, the next addition to the long-running series that’s presently targeting a 2025 release. More details about the upcoming spin-off, including its gameplay footage and release date, may be revealed on February 27, this year’s Pokemon Day.
