Summary

  • Pokemon fans have created various artwork inspired by Eevee, including one fan’s impressive yarn bracelets.
  • Eevee has eight different evolutions, each with unique design elements and abilities.
  • While new Eevee evolutions were not introduced in recent games, fans continue to create art and speculate.

An artistic Pokemon fan has made some impressive yarn bracelets themed after Eevee and its many evolutions. Eevee was first introduced in Pokemon Red and Blue and has stood apart from the many other creatures of the Pokemon franchise thanks to its unique ability to take on one of several different elementally-themed evolutions if the player fulfills a certain condition.

Generation 1 gave Pokemon players the option to transform their Eevee into one of three different forms using certain elemental stones: the Fire-type Flareon, Water-type Vaporeon, and Electric Jolteon. Pokemon Gold and Silver introduced Espeon and Umbreon, respective Psychic and Dark evolutions gained from raising Eevee’s friendship level during the day or night. Starting with Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, Eevee trainers could turn their partner into Leafeon by leveling it up near a Moss Rock or Glaceon by doing so near an Ice Rock. Lastly, Pokemon X and Y added Sylveon, a Fairy-type Eevee can become when leveled up while knowing a Fairy-type move and having a high friendship level.

There’s been plenty of questionable Pokemon designs over the years, but some of them are just downright silly.

Many Pokemon fans have created artwork of Eevee and its list of alternate evolutionary forms, including Reddit user Kanadian_Tire. They recently shared photos of Eevee-themed yarn bracelets they stitched together on r/pokemon, with each one bearing the colors of a certain Eevee form and a design best fitting its element. Eevee’s bracelet features a simple arrow pattern, Vaporeon’s has water-like waves, Jolteon’s sports a lighting bolt-style design, Flareon’s features flames running down its side, Espeon’s boasts ruby-like spots running along it, Umbreon’s has yellow diamonds against a black background, Glaceon’s sports an icy pattern, Leafeon’s matches its grassy hair, and Sylveon’s has soft pink and blue hearts.

As mentioned before, Eevee and its evolutions are a popular source of inspiration for Pokemon fan artists, who have made everything from Eevee-themed LEGO models to mosaics made from actual Pokemon trading cards. Some have even gone as far as to design new Eevee evolutions for types that currently don’t have one, or reimagine the existing Eevee forms as humans.

While Pokemon Scarlet and Violet didn’t introduce any new Eevee evolutions, fans are always waiting for the next one to be introduced. After all, there are currently 18 different Pokemon types and only nine of them are represented in the Eevee line. While it may be some time before Nintendo gives Eevee another evolution, Pokemon fans of varying talents can still pass the time by either imagining what will come next or paying tribute to the existing forms through imaginative artwork and custom clothing.
