Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti reportedly en route, in 8GB and 16GB versions

While there’s plenty of buzz about the RTX 5090 doing the rounds at the moment, we’ve also just spotted a leak about a much cheaper GPU that looks set to come in two flavors. A graphics card filing for the Eurasian Economic Commission appears to reveal that the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is in the works and that it will come in versions with 8GB or 16GB of VRAM.

If that’s true, then it follows the same strategy Nvidia took with the card’s predecessor. However, as we found in our RTX 4060 Ti review, this card’s 8GB of VRAM was at the upper limit of what you need to max out the settings in the latest games. With the Indiana Jones and the Great Circle system requirements requiring 12GB of VRAM to max out the game at 1080p, you’ll want the 16GB version of this card if you really want to enable the eye candy.

The filing was spotted by regular tech leaker Olrak29_ and shared in a post on X (formerly Twitter). You can also see the full filing for yourself here. The filing comes from graphics card maker Maxsun, and appears to reveal the names of several of the company’s forthcoming graphics cards in the RTX 5000 series.

Each card name either has “8G” or “16G” in its model name, with some of the card names otherwise being identical. For example, both MS-RTX5060Ti iCraft 8G AIGA and MS-RTX5060Ti iCraft 16G AIGA are listed in the filing, suggesting that there will be 8GB and 16GB versions of the same card. Little has been said about the RTX 5060 Ti so far, but the RTX 4060 Ti originally launched at $399 for the 8GB card, with 16GB cards arriving later and costing an extra $100.

That was when the RTX 4070 cost $599, though, and Nvidia was getting a lot of flak for its GPU pricing. This time, with the RTX 5070 launching at an MSRP of $549, we’d expect at least the 16GB version to be cheaper, perhaps coming in at $449, while the 8GB card costs $379. This is all just speculation, though. For its own part, Nvidia hasn’t even confirmed the existence of the RTX 5060 Ti, so take this with a grain of salt for the moment.
