Without The Whetstone, Tails Of Iron 2 Is Great Again

Tails of Iron 2 is back on track after overhauling the whetstone.

However, such a demanding job necessitates help, so you’ll need to recruit a builder to help you lay the groundwork. With a chef and Smithy waiting in the wings, you’re called to repel the Darkwing threat from the nearby settlements on the Outskirts. Your job as Warden just got more complicated.

How To Start A Builder’s Yard

Once you complete Recruit Chef and Recruit Smith, return to your throne in Winter’s Edge to begin A Builder’s Yard.

Leif suggests heading to Mossbug Farm in The Outskirts to find a builder; travel there via the docks or by leaving through the front gates of Winter’s Edge.

Upon arrival, go left and find a Silver Runestone key on the ground; pick it up and place it in a receptacle in front of a nearby tomb.

There are three other receptacles, but you don’t have all the Runestones yet.

For now, continue left to approach the Mossbug Farm. Enter the building on the left side and talk to the Elder.

You’ll be directed to find a Beaver nearby whose building permits need to be checked.

Progress further to the left to exit the village and defeat a Bird Beast Chick to save a scared farmer.

You’ll need to press forward, left, and up through some ruins to the next marker in search of the Beaver.

How To Get The Poison Elementa

The Poison Elementa Statue empowers Arlo in Tails Of Iron 2: Whiskers Of Winter.

Here, you’ll find another magic statue that will bestow a third Elementa type on Arlo: Poison. As always, there will be a couple of enemies for you to test out your newfound abilities.

The Poison Elementa sprouts a poisonous branch that will infect the enemy you target.

Continue left and defeat another Backstabber while pursuing the possibly injured beaver.

Before you reach the final area, you’ll come across a merchant where you can restock before the upcoming battle.

How To Defeat The Backstabber Mother

Your pursuit of the beaver will lead you to the far left area of the map where you’ll find a Backstabber Mother waiting for you.

This enemy is weak against poison, so exploit that weakness using your newly acquired poison magic, or rely on any poison-imbued weapons in your arsenal.

Avoid the Backstabber Mother’s ground slams and be cautious of the electric residue on the ground while poking away with counterattacks after the enemy attacks.

Poisoning this enemy is lethal, so you shouldn’t have much trouble defeating it once it’s afflicted.

  • Rough Hunter Armour

Return to Winter’s Edge and meet the Beaver to the left of the castle door to learn about the four plots of land you can build and upgrade in Winter’s Edge.

Create a Builder’s Yard Base and your quest will be complete.
