Sniper Elite Resistance: Kill Ludwig Spiegel by Making Him Fall from the Dam
Clear the Dam
Players who are working on this Kill List objective in Sniper Elite: Resistance should begin by killing all the enemies on the dam except for Spiegel. This will make it much easier to keep Spiegel in a neutral state when the player eventually goes to kill him, and that is the ideal state for making the foe fall from the dam.
With respect to how players should go about clearing the dam, the buildings directly to its east and west are good locations from which to pick off enemies with a sniper rifle. Fans of sniper games should also plan to sneak across the dam, performing stealth melee kills along the way, before they ultimately set their sights on Spiegel.
If a player gets into combat while they are working to clear the dam, they should feel free to engage in a direct gunfight with all the enemies except for Spiegel. Indeed, as long as the Kill List target is not eliminated during an open altercation, he will eventually return to a neutral state, making it possible to have him fall from the dam.
Wait for Spiegel to Become Neutral
Spiegel will likely enter at least an investigating or hunting state, if not a combat state, while the player is working to clear the dam. Fans of stealth games will know that Spiegel is in such a state if a yellow triangle appears above his head after viewing the foe through binoculars, and that triangle will become white when he returns to neutral.
To get Spiegel back into a neutral state, players should simply navigate to some other part of the map and spend time pursuing other activities. This might mean tackling another objective in Sniper Elite: Resistance‘s Mission 4 or looking for some of the level’s collectibles. Regardless of exactly how the player chooses to use their time, it should not take long for Spiegel to become neutral and move to the dam’s lower level.
Use a Bottle & Destroy a Platform
Once Spiegel is neutral and standing on the dam’s lower level, players should use a ladder to descend to that lower level. Such a ladder can be found on both the east and west ends of the dam, and the positions of those objects have been marked on the following map.
Fans of third-person shooters should now sneak towards the middle of the lower level, looking for a small wooden platform that extends from the metal walkway. As soon as Spiegel is in the vicinity of that wooden platform, players should throw a bottle onto it. This action will cause the enemy to walk onto the platform, and fans should quickly shoot one of its supports to cause Spiegel to die by falling from the dam.
