  • KONAMI has rolled out the Player Exchange system in the China server for more flashy epics.
  • Unlike a direct swap, the exchange system has a progress bar that suggests to meet certain criterias.
  • Currently, there is no indication that this system will arrive for global players

KONAMI has introduced the Player Exchange feature in the China server of eFootball 2025, allowing users to swap their existing players for better ones. Something that has been teased for a while now, and again, the China server gets a taste of what we global players have been waiting.

The progress bar suggests a structured exchange method rather than a straightforward trade

Based on the leaks shared, this seems to be a different route from what you think would be straightforward. A 190-player pack is featured, you see some top picks like Gullit and Cole in that pack, but there seems to be a progress bar from the screenshots too.

As you can see, the Chinese version of the Player Exchange feature in eFootball 2025 brings a trading system where players can swap footballer cards. So you can see numbers such as x10 and x15 which indicates the number of pulls you can have. This most likely will need your squad to be formed there, as you probably might get a chance to pull 3-Star+ players on progressing.

If I were to explain with an example, you might need to place a certain number of cards, say 11, to form a team, in return for getting the tries for the available pack. Since it shows an Epic sign, I would be surprised if the requirement for all is a minimum of an Epic card.

In the next screen, I also see a confirmation button, meaning both sides likely need to agree before finalizing the trade. My translations might be wrong, but this is probably it. However, this is again a draw. There is no guarantee you pull a particular player sacrificing your top cards.

Interestingly, this concept isn’t entirely new. Back in early 2024, leaks suggested that a similar Player Exchange feature was being tested for the global version of eFootball 2024. More leaks arrived after the launch of the 2025 season with concept art and mockups also popping up. However, the feature never materialized in the global version.

Anyway, we just need to wait for the global version to bring something like this, but hopefully, it isn’t as strict as this. I’m doubting this anyway, just consider this feature never hits the global version to avoid being unnecessarily hyped. For now, the Player Exchange feature remains an exclusive perk for China players of eFootball 2025.
