Player Skills is something that has been discussed for quite a long time now. eFootball 2025 brings us several features into a fun football experience but what’s important is how every player is different because of the skills they have. Player Skills are important in selecting a player, so you must understand what kind of skills there are and how you can utilize them to the fullest, for the same reason I bring this eFootball 2025 Player Skills Guide.
I have left out the Show Time skills from this article since they are premium skills and regular players cannot have them. To read their explanations, you can refer to this detailed guide. I have divided the skills into certain sections for easy understanding.
Ball Control and Dribbling Skills
In most cases, we use dribbling skills to get past a defender and get to the right shooting position.
1. Sole Control
Your player can step on the ball and has better control over it, which helps him to execute feints and quick turns with ease.
2. Scissors Feint
Your player can perform the Scissors Feint at high speed to confuse opponents. Flicks the analog pad sideways to trigger the move.
3. Double Touch
Allows your player to execute a swift and precise Double-Touch move. This can be performed by flicking the analog pad in the direction a player is dribbling.
4. Flip Flap
Your player can perform the Flip Flap to outwit defenders. A similar to the Double Touch move.
5. Marseille Turn
Enables your player to spin and maneuver with the Marseille Turn. While dribbling with your player, flick your analog stick down or perform a half circle.
6. Sombrero
Your player can perform the flick of the ball over the opponent effortlessly. This in eFootball can only be performed when the player receives the ball in the air and then flicks the analog pad in the opposite direction.
7. Chop Turn
Allows your player to quickly execute the Chop Turn to evade challenges.
8. Cut Behind & Turn
Your player can perform a smooth Cut-behind move to escape defenders. Flick your analog stick either up or down depending on what your direction needs to be.
9. Scotch Move
Your player can execute the Scotch Move to maintain control under pressure. Just flick the analog stick slightly off-center to perform this skill.
10. Rabona
Lets your player perform a stylish Rabona for passing or shooting deceptively. This is an automatically triggered skill.
The below video has a tutorial for performing all these skills, so take a look at it for a better visual representation.
Passing Skills
Most of the passing skills aren’t manually activated. They are part of the regular controls, and automatically triggered whenever the player goes with the pass command depending on the skills.
1. Weighted Pass
Your player adds backspin for more accurate lofted passes and through balls. No special control to enable it, your player will decide for himself.
2. Pinpoint Crossing
Enables your player to deliver perfectly curled crosses into the box.
3. One-touch Pass
Improves your player’s precision when making quick, one-touch passes. Helpful during build-up in your matches.
4. Through Passing
Your player delivers more accurately through low and lofted balls to break defenses.
5. No Look Pass
Adds flair as your player misdirects opponents with deceptive passes.
6. Low Lofted Pass
Allows your player to send long, low-trajectory lofted passes.
7. Long Throw
Your player can throw the ball farther with improved accuracy.
Shooting Skills
These skills are highly noticeable and are a major deal. The lack of these skills is easily noticeable.
1. First-time Shot
Enhances your player’s precision for first-time strikes.
2. Long-Range Shooting
Improves your player’s accuracy for shots taken from a distance.
3. Long-Range Curler
Improves your player’s accuracy for curled shots taken from a distance.
4. Outside Curler
Your player can shoot or pass with the outside of their boot, even at long ranges. Curling from an angle where their weak foot is needed to score most often triggers this skill.
5. Chip Shot Control
Enables your player to deliver precise chip shots over goalkeepers.
6. Knuckle Shot
Your player can easily execute powerful knuckle shots, even for free kicks.
7. Dipping Shot
Allows your player to hit topspin shots that dip unpredictably.
8. Rising Shot
Your player can shoot shots that start low and rise sharply.
9. Acrobatic Finishing
Your player can find the net even from awkward positions. Most of the players who can attempt bicycle kicks or diving headers will have this skill.
Goalkeeping Skills
The Goalkeeper skills are four, which are basic ones.
1. GK Penalty Saver
Improves your goalkeeper’s reactions during penalty situations. Has made a noticeable difference in the game as some keepers don’t save top-corner penalties without this skill.
2. GK Low Punt
Your goalkeeper delivers long, low punt kicks with pinpoint accuracy.
3. GK High Punt
Allows your goalkeeper to send high, deep punt kicks into opposition territory.
4. GK Long Throw
Your goalkeeper can make longer and more accurate throws.
Defensive Skills
You can notice most of these skills on a defender, and to be very precise, all these skills need to be present on a defender. Heading and Aerial Superiority for tall strikers are also seen, but majorly these are seen as defending skills.
1. Man Marking
Your player can tightly follow and challenge specific opponents.
2. TrackBack
Enables your player to chase back to the defense even though he has pushed forward and pressured the ball carrier aggressively.
3. Acrobatic Clearance
Your player clears the ball effectively, even from awkward positions.
4. Interception
Improves your player’s ability to cut off passes from the opponent.
5. Blocker
Your player becomes better at blocking shots and passes. You can notice the automatic sliding of players even if you are not controlling them.
6. Heading
Improves your player’s accuracy and power when heading the ball.
7. Aerial Superiority
Your player dominates aerial duels more effectively.
8. Sliding Tackle
Improves your player’s success rate for sliding tackles.
Other Skills
These are the skills that are not seen in the game apart from Heel Trick and maybe sometimes Gamesmanship but are present which offer an inside boost to your players.
1. Captaincy
Your player reduces fatigue for the entire team as an inspiring leader.
2. Super-Sub
Your player performs better when introduced after halftime. Stats are seemingly boosted following the improvement of Player Conditioning but isn’t reflected on screen.
3. Fighting Spirit
Helps your player stay strong under pressure and fatigue. You can notice him pressing and having enough stamina to last longer in matches.
4. Gamesmanship
Allows your player to win free kicks with clever positioning and diving.
5. Penalty Specialist
Your player takes more accurate and powerful penalty kicks.
6. Heel Trick
