While you’ll enjoy this survival game, you’ll often find yourself needing new materials to craft better equipment or structures for your base. It’s not always clear where to find them, as there isn’t always guidance on how or where to do so.

is just one example among many, and you’re probably wondering where to obtain this material. In this guide, we’ll show you how and where to find Pure Quartz so you can use it effectively.

How To Get Pure Quartz
Pure Quartz is a rare ore material found in the very northern part of the map, specifically in the snow biome known as Astral Mountains. Given it’s a snowy area, it’s important to wear a cold-resistant outfit to prevent your character from suffering in the cold.
Ensure you have a higher-level pickaxe for mining this ore to speed up the process and avoid spending too much time collecting it.
You can locate Pure Quartz as stone chunks, similar to Ore and Coal, and in order to distinguish them, look for icy chunks on these stones.
They are scattered throughout the snow biome, but a convenient spot we discovered is near the Pristine Snow Field fast travel point in the southwest of the Astral Mountains.
A few meters from the travel point, precisely at coordinates -354, 296, you’ll find a chunk near an Ore cooper stone where you can obtain Pure Quartz.
Remember, this isn’t the only location; Pure Quartz can be found in various areas within the snow biome.
The mentioned spot is just one that is convenient to access and close to a fast travel point, making it easy to go back and forth between your base and this Pure Quartz location.
Another notable location you can visit to find Pure Quartz is around -213, 252. You can spot a large number of Pure Quartz here, so we recommend you establish a base to farm the mineral automatically.
You can get here quickly by going east after teleporting to the Pristine Snow Field waypoint.
If you go a little bit further to the east, you will find some more Pure Quartz nodes close by around -205, 254. If you head up north in the mountains around the coordinates -244,396, you will find more minerals near the Tower of Pal Genetic Research Unit.
You can also make a Pure Quartz mine in your base after you reach level 50. It requires 70 Stones, 100 Pure Quartz, and 30 Paldium Fragments to craft.
How To Use Pure Quartz
You can use Pure Quartz to make Circuit Boards which you can use to make electric buildings to your base. This is helpful during the late game when you will be crafting many electric-powered production lines to craft some excellent gear.
