eFootball 2025 has been dishing out some top-rated cards for us, and of course, we all are confused thinking, “Which of these are really endgame?”. Plenty of players are searching for the right pick for their squad, but here, rating only doesn’t matter. Everything combined puts you to push into a top-tier squad, but something players miss is attributes for their players. Building a strong squad in the game starts with selecting the right forward to lead your attack. In this guide, I’ll break down the key attributes and skills to look for when choosing the perfect forward for your squad in eFootball 2025.

Center Forward (CF)

When selecting a Center Forward in eFootball 2025, there is this common focus on attributes like Finishing, Heading, and Physical Strength. However, there aren’t strikers that are good both aerially and shooting aspects. Also, you don’t need to have such a player if you are choosing certain formations and playstyles. But first, here you need to remember that Finishing in the late 80s or into the 90s is important for any striker you choose.

If you are playing Possession Game, you must have strikers who contribute to linkup play. Having good Ball Control and Tight Possession helps you to move around better, and having a decent Low Pass is good enough. For Counter playstyles, it is important to have Speed and Acceleration traits, because you are trying to feed your strikers the final ball to score.

For the Long Ball playstyle, it is a mixed bag. You are treating your player with lofted balls, so here high Offensive Awareness is a necessity. Two more necessary traits become your Ball Control and Physical Contact. Having a good first touch and shielding the ball is needed, and bullying your opponent has been the meta for a long now. Out Wide is where you need Heading skill to put in those crosses from your wingers.

For skills, the must-have should be First Time Shot and Long Range Shooting. Without these two, they won’t classify as a striker for sure. I have always emphasized adding One Touch Pass and Through Passing skills because I experiment a lot for my strikers hence they become necessary for buildup. A couple of shooting skills, Rising Shot or Dipping Shot also come in handy.

Second Striker (SS)

When selecting a Second Striker in eFootball 2025, the focus is usually on attributes like Dribbling, Ball Control, and Passing. However, finding a perfect SS who excels at both playmaking and finishing can be tricky. Depending on your formation and playstyle, you might not even need a striker with elite finishing if their primary role is to support the main forward. But if you’re planning to use your SS as a hybrid scorer, having Finishing in the 80s is something you need to have.

For the Possession Game, an SS should act as the glue between midfield and attack. This means Tight Possession, Ball Control, and a high Low Pass stat are essential. They should be able to dribble out of tight spaces and execute precise passes. For Counter playstyles, acceleration, and speed become important since you want your SS to quickly exploit spaces behind the defense while linking up effectively with the CF.

Long Ball playstyles demand SS players with excellent Offensive Awareness to pick up loose balls and stay in the right positions. Ball Control and Physical Contact help them hold up play and distribute the ball to attacking teammates. Their positioning and ability to receive passes under pressure are key in this approach.

For skills, One Touch Pass and Through Passing are non-negotiable for an SS. These make them far more effective at creating chances. Double Touch and Sole Control are fantastic for dribblers, while skills like Long Range Shooting and Dipping Shot can make them a surprise scoring threat.

Left Wing Forward/Right Wing Forward (LWF/RWF)

Wing Forwards are some of the most dynamic players on the pitch, and in eFootball 2025, they thrive when focusing on attributes like Speed, Dribbling, and Crossing. However, it’s rare to find a winger who excels equally in both creativity and scoring. Depending on your playstyle, you’ll need to make trade-offs to fit the role.

For a Possession Game, the priority is on Tight Possession, Dribbling, and Low Pass to ensure smooth linkups in wide areas. These wingers act as playmakers from the flanks, so precise crossing or short passing into the box is key. For Counter playstyles, Speed and Acceleration become essential since wing forwards are often the main outlet during fast breaks. Without these traits, it becomes harder to exploit spaces behind the opposition defense.

In a Long Ball playstyle, wing forwards need high Offensive Awareness and Passing stats to maximize their effectiveness. They’ll be on the receiving end of lofted balls or tasked with delivering pinpoint crosses to the center forwards. Stamina is also critical here, as wingers cover a lot of ground. Same case for Out Wide as well.

For skills, Pinpoint Crossing and Cut Behind & Turn are staples for creative wing players. Knuckle Shot and Rising Shot make them more versatile by adding a scoring threat. For dribblers, Double Touch and Step On Skill Control are highly effective for taking on defenders one-on-one.
