That’s where Better SMT comes in. This mod brings in a few small fixes and quality-of-life changes that improve the game’s overall functionality.

Some of the changes that this mod makes can be seen below:

• Front doors are always open
• Highlights shelves that contain the product the player is holding
• Scanners can open boxes
• One hit thieves to get all the stock back
• Customers place items on the checkout instantly

These changes, although small, when combined, make the game a lot more user-friendly. One of the other features that this mod has is a save button in the pause menu. At the time of writing, saving the game can only be done at the end of an in-game day. This isn’t ideal for those who don’t have a lot of time to play.
