One of the biggest impacts on your experience while playing Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is the class you choose. There are four main types of classes: tanks, damage, healers, and support. Every class fits into one of these main types, and what role you’d like to take will determine what class makes the most sense for you.

Dungeons and Dragons – 5 Common Character Creation Mistakes
Have you ever made one of these mistakes?
While all classes can perform very well when played correctly, some are easier to use than others. Some classes have an easier time getting into groups, too, and since Pantheon is a very social game, this is an important consideration.

Enchanter
- Available To: Dark Myr, Dwarf, Elf, Gnome, Human
- Role: Support (and Crowd Control)
Enchanters are easily one of the most useful classes in the game, which also makes them exceptionally sought after by player groups. They have a heavy emphasis on crowd control, which means their job is to limit the amount of enemies that can fight on the battlefield at a time. In many cases, this role is essential for tackling some of the tougher areas.
Enchanters do have some damage-dealing spells, but their main focus is debuffing enemies and buffing their allies. For this reason, this role is inherently social and not particularly good as a solo class.

Cleric
- Available To: Dark Myr, Dwarf, Elf, and Human
- Role: Healer
Clerics keep their allies alive, though they can also prevent and mitigate damage. Many are also good at buffing allies, such as boosting health and armor class. While this class is capable of melee combat, your main job as a Cleric is to heal others, and getting involved in combat can interfere with that.
This class is also very resilient. They can use a shield and put on some pretty strong armor. This helps keep them alive so they can keep others alive.

Dire Lord
- Available To: Dark Myr, Human, Ogre, Skar
- Role: Tank
Dire Lords function as some of the best tanks in the game. They keep the attention of enemies and take some of the damage off of squishier allies. There are several different tanks in the game, but Dire Lords specialize in combating magical foes, as they can drain mana and debuff many of their spells.

MMORPGs are a huge part of gaming culture, but which ones are still supreme all these years late? Let’s dive in!
That said, Dire Lords cannot equip the same heavy armor that other tanks can, which can make them a bit less tanky. Luckily, they do have attacks that heal themselves.

Wizard
- Available To: Archai, Dark Myr, Elf, Gnome, Human
- Role: Damage
Wizards are not a support class, unlike many other MMORPGs. Instead, their main function is in a DPS role. They have many high-damage spells that they can use against their foes. One of their unique abilities is that they can teleport, which can be very useful situationally.
Wizards have several direct-damage spells that cause significant damage. They can also debuff some enemies by lowering their resistance.
12
Rogue
- Available To: Dark Myr, Dwarf, Elf, Gnome, Halfling, Human, Skar
- Role: Damage
Rogues also focus on dealing damage, but they’re a very versatile class. They can also be decent at crowd control, though their focus should be mostly on dealing damage. They can take down foes very quickly in the right circumstances. All rouges should use a dagger and be behind their foes to use their primary ability, Backstab.
They can also be very good scouts thanks to their stealth, and they can even disarm traps passively.
11
Shaman
- Available To: Archai, Dark Myr, Elf, Human, Ogre, Skar
- Role: Healer
Shamans are another healer class that can perform exceedingly well when plated correctly. They have both healing-over-time spells and direct healing spells, which can stack to produce powerful results. They can also cast a few other support spells, which do things like increase attack speed and resistances.
That said, Shamans can also be one of the more complicated classes to play. Therefore, it is often best for older players who already know the basics of the game.
10
Warrior
- Available To: All except Gnomes and Halflings
- Role: Tank
Unlike in other MMO games, Warriors are tanks, not damage-dealers. They have a pretty broad skillset, though, which can allow them to perform other functions. With the right player, Warriors can adapt quickly to different environments. However, they’re also a more complicated class and can be hard to use efficiently.

Warriors can perform some support actions, too. For instance, they can use the Shieldman’s Banner to increase their allies’ survivability to use the Banner of Onslaught to increase hit chance.
9
Summoner
- Available To: Archai, Dark Myr, Elf, Gnome, Human
- Role: Damage
Summoners can be very fun to play. They’re a “pet” class, which means that they summon NPCs to deal the bulk of the damage. However, they also have some direct damage spells.
Summoners can also do some pretty interesting things outside of combat. For instance, they can Summon Food & Drink and summon supplies to help with certain environments. While many of these spells are very situational, they can be extremely useful when you need them.
8
Monk
- Available To: Archai, Dark Myr, Human, Skar
- Role: Damage
Monks are a very diverse class. They are one of the best pulling classes, which makes them highly sought after. However, this role is also more challenging to master than others. When in a sticky situation, Monks can temporarily become tanks, but, again, this is challenging to achieve without lots of practice.
A well-played Monk will be able to deal massive amounts of damage, pull attention off of the party’s tank when needed, and direct damage away from their allies. Because they can do so many things, choosing which is the most important in any given situation can be hard.
7
Paladin
- Available To: Dwarf, Human
- Role: Tank
Paladins are unique tanks, as they’re only available to two different races. This class is similar to a Cleric, but as a tank. They keep some of the abilities of a Cleric while getting some new abilities, too. Their Cleric past makes them best when fighting against the undead, and they also have some healing abilities.
They aren’t the best tank out there, but they also aren’t suitable as a healer by themselves. Therefore, they’re much harder to play well.
Paladins also have several stun abilities, which are useful to interrupt enemy spells.
6
Ranger
- Available To: Elf, Halfling, Human, Skar
- Role: Damage
Rangers are a damage-oriented class, but they do it a bit uniquely. They can fight at long range and short range with equal tenacity. Alternatively, they can also “skirmish,” which involves using the two styles at the same time.
Rangers function best when used as scouts. They have several scouting tools, which can help them see the enemies ahead and plan accordingly. They can also track targets within a large area.
5
Druid
- Available To: Archai, Elf, Halfling, Human, Ogre
- Role: Healer
There aren’t that many healer classes available in this game, and the Druid isn’t one of the best. However, this class does focus on direct healing, which is a lot easier for new players to understand. The stacking abilities of the Shaman can be hard to get perfect, and many are tempted to throw their Cleric directly in the ring too often. Due to this, the Druid is one of the easier classes to use.
They have some pretty powerful spells that are also pretty fun. For instance, Creeper’s Grip makes it so that the Druid’s allies are healed when they attack impacted enemies.
