Palworld developer Pocketpair took to social media to post a roadmap of its future early access plans, which included a tease of a boss scenario at the World Tree and co-op crossplay on supported platforms. Alongside continued game improvements, Palworld stated more game collaborations alongside Terraria are in the works as it continues toward a full release.
In observance of the game’s first anniversary since its launch in early access, Pocketpair thanked Palworld players for their continued support of the game. Alongside bug fixes and performance improvements, Palworld has released several patches throughout 2024 to keep players engaged. Palworld added the islands of Sakurajima and Feybreak as free updates, with each island including new Pals to catch and battle. The Feybreak update proved a successful endeavor for Pocketpair, as Palworld‘s player count on Steam rose to over 212,000 concurrent users during the update’s launch window.

Via Palworld‘s official English Twitter feed, Pocketpair shared a roadmap of planned major update features coming to the game during its continued early access window. Palworld revealed that co-op crossplay on supported platforms would arrive in a future update, along with the ability for players to transfer their Pals across multiple World servers and play files. Palworld also confirmed that other game collaborations alongside Terarria were planned, but did not state what those games would be. Finally, Pocketpair stated that the World Tree, a mysterious location teased throughout Palworld‘s early access period, would play host to a final boss battle scenario.

However, Pocketpair did not state when these major updates would go live, as things are subject to change during Palworld‘s early access period. While Pocketpair did not state what these Pal enhancements could be, the developer confirmed that new Pals, technologies, and items would be included via major content updates. Other improvements to Palworld‘s user interface, world object placements, base Pal workflow, and performance optimizations were listed on Pocketpair’s early access plans. Palworld asked for players to continue supporting the game as its plans for a full release continue.
Between Palworld‘s ongoing collaboration with Terraria and major update plans, Pocketpair’s hit title shows no signs of slowing down. Only time will tell when Palworld‘s first major update for 2025 will be released.
