More Classic MySims Games Could Be Making a Comeback

Summary

  • A Reddit user discovers potential MySims game remasters through EA app listings.
  • The MySims franchise differs from The Sims with a focus on day-to-day tasks and a more family-friendly tone.
  • Speculation suggests the MySims Action Bundle could feature remasters of Agents and SkyHeroes.

A recent internet discovery is leading to some rumors about potential remasters of more games in the MySims franchise after some mysterious listings for the series seemingly appeared on a user’s EA app while browsing the online store. This would follow up from last year’s MySims bundle that saw the first two games in the series, MySims and MySims Kingdom, get modern ports exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.

The MySims series is quite a bit different from EA’s flagship The Sims franchise, despite utilizing much of the same iconography and overall themes, with a stronger focus on day-to-day tasks and a more family-friendly tone. While it retains many of the social and life simulation aspects of classic The Sims games, the actual gameplay loop is more reminiscent of something like Animal Crossing than the usual staples fans may know the series for.

MySims Cozy Bundle Gets New Update

Electronic Arts releases a new patch for the spin-off Switch title MySims: Cozy Bundle that addresses several bugs. More updates will come in 2025.

According to Reddit user OyeDiego on the franchise’s subreddit, more games in the series may be getting remasters soon as they reportedly discovered two now-deleted listings for unreleased titles, which appear to be called the MySims Action Bundle and MySims Beacon Bay. Currently, it is unclear what these unannounced games might actually entail, but fans are speculating that the Action Bundle could include remasters of the next two MySims games, Agents and SkyHeroes.

New MySims Remasters May Have Been Confirmed on the EA App

While the first two MySims games took on a more traditional approach to the life simulation and “cozy” game genre, tasking players with side quests as they build relationships with townsfolk, later entries took things in much different directions. MySims Agents still retained many of these same elements on top of its stronger focus on following a consistent storyline, but SkyHeroes is an outright action game, putting players in the cockpit of a customizable fighter plane.

Of course, there is no official confirmation yet as to whether these two titles are actually getting remasters, as the speculation simply comes from the alleged bundle’s title, which implies a collection of games with a stronger focus on action. As for MySims Beacon Bay, however, fans in the comments on the original post were seemingly much more confused, with some speculating that it could be a brand-new MySims game entirely.

With a Nintendo Direct presentation rumored to be on the way next month, it may only be a matter of time before fans will get to find out what might be coming next for the MySims series. In the meantime, the MySims: Cozy Bundle is currently available on the Nintendo Switch, with a PC port planned for March 18 this year.
