A Marvel Rivals player recently took to social media to share a new strategy that allows Loki to self-resurrect by copying Hela with his ultimate ability. The popular hero shooter is currently in the opening weeks of Season 1, which has added Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman to the robust roster found in Marvel Rivals. According to the developers, players can expect to see Human Torch and The Thing added to the game during a mid-season update.

Loki is a Strategist in Marvel Rivals, which means his primary role is to provide support to his allies. As one might expect, much of Loki’s moveset relies on illusions and trickery. The hero has the ability to create copies of himself, with the option of swapping places with one of his clones at any time. He even has the ability to disappear, leaving a copy of himself behind before he reappears in a new location. While his clones remain stationary, they do mimic his abilities, whether those are heals or attacks. Meanwhile, the hero’s ultimate allows him to turn into any other character on the battlefield, utilizing their full ability kit for a short period of time.

Marvel Rivals Players Want a Major Change Made to Magneto’s Ultimate Ability

A Marvel Rivals player takes to social media to express dissatisfaction with the current state of Magneto’s ultimate ability, Meteor M.

In a recent post on Reddit, I-Am-Hashirama shared a video showing Loki resurrecting himself in the middle of a match. The unusual maneuver took advantage of the team-up ability between Loki and Hela in Marvel Rivals. When Hela is on the same team as Thor or Loki, she grants the two heroes bonuses for every final hit she secures. If the brothers are alive, she grants them 50 health, but if they’ve been eliminated, she can revive them. The video on Reddit shows Loki using his ultimate to copy Hela, which allowed him to attack enemies from above. After getting a KO as Hela, an enemy eliminated Loki. However, Loki revived due to the team-up with Hela, which he himself activated.

Loki Can Copy Hela to Self-Revive in Marvel Rivals

Many fans were amused by the strategy, noting that it felt very in-character for Marvel Rivals‘ Loki to cheat death in such a way. Some gamers felt the ability to self-revive using the team-up was overpowered and wondered if NetEase Games had intended to allow Loki to do such a thing. Several players mentioned that they hadn’t considered the way team-up abilities could impact Loki’s ultimate, noting that the boons could add a variety of benefits for himself and his allies.

While a large portion of the community is happy with the current state of the title, some fans think NetEase Games needs to continue focusing on balancing its expansive roster of heroes. Many gamers feel Moon Knight is currently overpowered in Marvel Rivals, suggesting that the developers should issue a hotfix to nerf his ultimate ability. Despite a few balancing hiccups, many players are looking forward to seeing what’s next for the popular hero shooter.
