Perhaps unsurprisingly, Marvel Rivals’ MCU skins remain some of the shooter’s most successful. With a slew of entries slated to join the MCU during 2025, it would stand to reason to see at least a handful of new MCU skins join Marvel Rivals over the course of the year.
Marvel Rivals continues to add skins to the shooter. The game’s Season 1 update introduced new Lunar New Year skins for Moon Knight and Squirrel Girl, with more Lunar New Year Skins for Doctor Strange and Mantis added a few weeks later. Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman also each had two new skins upon release.

How Marvel Rivals’ Scarlet Witch Compares to Her MCU Adaptation
While not every character in Marvel Rivals has major differences from their MCU counterparts, Scarlet Witch is definitely one of the few.
Captain America: Brave New World Will Bring a New MCU Skin to Marvel Rivals
While Marvel Rivals added plenty of new skins upon Season 1’s release, no new MCU skins have been featured in the Season. This will change shortly, as Marvel and NetEase Games are collaborating with Regal Cinemas to bring more MCU skins to Marvel Rivals.
Announced in a post on X (formerly Twitter) from Regal Cinemas on January 17, players who purchase tickets for Captain America: Brave New World that are members of Regal Crown Club can claim a digital bundle in-game. Joining the Regal Crown Club is free, so players only need to worry about paying for the movie tickets. The skin featured in this digital bundle is unknown as of writing, but the bundle will also include a nameplate and a spray.
However, based on characters confirmed for Captain America: Brave New World, there is at least one hint as to who this new costume could be for. Many players are hoping that this skin will be Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk. Trailers for the film have shown General Thaddeus Ross transforming into a red version of the iconic Hulk. Because Red Hulk has been featured so heavily in Captain America: Brave New World’s marketing, it would be unsurprising for a Red Hulk skin to be added to Marvel Rivals. Whether it is part of this Regal Crown Club digital bundle remains to be seen.
Captain America: Brave New World isn’t the only entry into the MCU coming in 2025. With several other films on the way, it would be unsurprising to see Marvel and NetEase Games collaborating to promote the films with more costumes in Marvel Rivals.
The MCU’s Upcoming Films Could Bring More Costumes to Marvel Rivals
After Captain America: Brave New World’s release on February 13, two more films will be teed to join the MCU in 2025. The first is Thunderbolts*, set to release on May 2, and the second is The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Both films will provide Marvel Rivals with the opportunity to add more MCU-themed skins, as both movies feature characters already on the shooter’s character roster.
Thunderbolts*
In fact, a Thunderbolts skin is already technically in Marvel Rivals. Though Punisher is not part of any MCU feature films and will not be in Thunderbolts*, he is a notable member of the super team in the comics. His spot on the team justifies the Thunderbolts costume that was available to players through Marvel Rivals‘ Season 0 BattlePass. With Thunderbolts skins already established in Marvel Rivals, introducing MCU Thunderbolts* skins is a no-brainer.
The most likely Thunderbolts* character to receive a skin based on the film is Bucky Barnes, a.k.a. the Winter Soldier. While Winter Soldier has one comic-based costume, he has yet to have an MCU-themed skin. Other members of the MCU’s version of the Thunderbolts have yet to be introduced to Marvel Rivals’ character roster. Until they join the shooter, the Winter Soldier has the biggest shot of gaining an MCU skin.

One X-Man Might Not Make it to Marvel Rivals
Though the X-Men should flock to Marvel Rivals in droves, one mutant might not make the cut for the shooter’s character roster
The Fantastic Four: First Steps
The release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps obviously spells MCU skins for the newest characters to Marvel Rivals’ character roster, the Fantastic Four. While Human Torch and the Thing will allegedly join the game in late February, Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman have been part of Marvel Rivals since Season 1’s launch.
Adding MCU skins for the Fantastic Four may seem fairly cut and dry, but based on First Steps’ reported setting, these skins could also technically count as comics-based costumes. First Steps will allegedly be set in a different universe than the main MCU timeline, on a 1960’s-inspired version of Earth. If this is true, the Fantastic Four costumes featured in the MCU could be direct references to the original costumes worn by the Fantastic Four in Fantastic Four #1. These costumes already heavily influenced the Fantastic Four: First Family comic-based costumes featured in Marvel Rivals, which could make the two skins difficult to distinguish.
But films aren’t the only new additions headed to the MCU. Two new miniseries will be headed to Disney+ in 2025 that could spell both new characters and new skins for Marvel Rivals.
Disney+ Content Shouldn’t Be Overlooked for Marvel Rivals’ MCU Skins
Daredevil: Born Again
Daredevil: Born Again will premiere on Disney+ on March 4. Essentially acting as Daredevil’s official solo reboot into the MCU, the show will carry on the legacy of the various Defenders related shows that Netflix and Marvel collaborated on. Iron Fist is currently the only member of the MCU’s Defenders in Marvel Rivals, as Punisher never joined the team in The Defenders TV show.
However, Jon Bernthal has been confirmed to be appearing in Daredevil: Born Again as the Punisher. The amount of time Punisher will have on screen is unknown, but the possibility for an MCU Punisher skin remains thanks to the rebooted series. There has been no news as to whether Finn Jones will make a cameo as Danny Rand’s Iron Fist in Daredevil: Born Again, but he remains another unlikely, if welcome, opportunity for MCU skins.
Ironheart
Ironheart is the other MCU miniseries slated for 2025. Premiering on Disney+ on June 24, the show will follow Riri Williams, first introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. It is confirmed that the miniseries will also introduce one of Marvel Comics’ more obscure anti-heroes. While this mention may seem a bit mundane, the Hood is one of many characters leaked to join Marvel Rivals’ character roster.
Perhaps Anthony Ramos’ portrayal of Parker Robbins will usher the character into Marvel Rivals alongside Ironheart’s premiere. If this is the case, the Hood would be the latest member of Marvel Rivals’ character roster to gain an MCU-themed skin.
