How to Unlock the Dream Battle in Dynasty Warriors: Origins (Last Mission)

Upon fully completing the storylines for Wei, Wu, and Shu, Dynasty Warriors: Origins players will likely find that they have one Chapter 5 mission left to complete. Unlike the other 18, the game’s final side mission isn’t tied to a specific faction, with players instead needing to complete a few skirmishes in order to unlock it.

Those hoping to unlock the true ending for Wei will need to save Dian Wei and Guo Jia and then stop Huang Gai from burning Cao Cao’s fleet at Chibi.

Thankfully, this can be accomplished relatively quickly, which bodes well for those who want to unlock the Supreme Competence Trophy / Achievement. Funnily enough, this isn’t the only Trophy / Achievement that they’ll be getting on their way toward unlocking the last mission in Dynasty Warriors: Origins.

How to Unlock the Last Mission in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

To unlock the final side mission in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, players will need to restore peace to every region. Assuming they’ve completed all of the other missions in the game already, doing so will result in them getting a letter from the unknown Guardian of Peace, after which, the Dream Battle mission will become available in the Sili Province.

If players have completed all three of the storylines in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, they should find that they’ve already restored peace to nine out of the ten provinces, with the only one left in conflict being Liang Province in the top left-hand corner of the map. Players should head there and repeatedly complete the Elimination of the Qiang skirmish until peace has been fully restored to Liang, which will also unlock the Guardian of Peace Trophy / Achievement.

It takes around sixty seconds for the quest marker for the Elimination of the Qiang skirmish to reappear after players have returned to the world map screen.

The last side mission in Dynasty Warriors: Origins is Dream Battle, which pits players against three large enemy forces containing some of the most powerful officers in the game. Once one of the large forces has been disbanded, the other two will merge together and march towards the allied stronghold, resulting in one of the most epic battles in the game. Better still, those who complete it will be rewarded with the Disc of Huanglong, which is easily one of the best accessories.

Despite the strength of the opposition, this battle is fairly manageable on both the Historian and Wayfarer difficulty settings due to how overpowered players are at this point in the game. As a result, repeatedly completing Dream Battle via the Records menu at the inn can be a great way to farm both skill points and kills. Players can expect to get at least 5,000 kills per run, with each run lasting between fifteen and twenty minutes.
