Lord Icons are special icons for every hero in Marvel Rivals, and they can be unlocked by leveling up their proficiency. This icon can be equipped and seen by other players so they know your skill with that particular hero.

How to Get Lord Icons in Marvel Rivals
The Lord Icon is just a cooler and fancy-looking character icon for a hero that can be unlocked by completing challenges in the game. You might have seen players with these icons during a match’s hero selection phase and in other parts. The characters will have different poses than their normal icons and some added lighting around them. These icons only act as cosmetics in the game, with no added buffs inside a match.
The more you play with a character, the more you’ll increase their proficiency level. There are five levels to unlocking the Lord Icon. These are:
- Agent
- Knight
- Captain
- Centurion
- Lord
Reaching the Lord level will unlock that character’s icon and allow you to equip it for that particular hero.
Other than the Lord Icon, each proficiency level has its own reward, which can be unlocked, equipped, and then used during a match. The list of rewards for each proficiency level are listed below:
- Agent – Kill Notification
- Knight – Hero Spray
- Captain – Hero-themed kill notification
- Centurion – Upgraded hero-themed kill notification
- Lord – Lord Icon
How to Increase Proficiency Level in Marvel Rivals
To level up your hero proficiency, you must complete certain challenges while playing as that hero. You can see a list of these challenges inside the Heroes Menu. Here is a step-by-step process on how you can find these challenges:
- Go to the Heroes Menu and click on the Hero you want to level up.
- At the top of the screen, you will see a gray bar with different tabs above it.
- Click on the tab labeled “Proficiency.”
- There, you can see a list of challenges that, when completed, will increase your Hero Proficiency level.
You can follow a few steps to increase your proficiency level, which will passively complete these challenges. Here are a few useful suggestions for quickly leveling up and reaching the Lord level in your hero proficiency.
- Perform your role as much as possible. As a Vanguard, block as much damage to your teammates as possible. Duelists need to deal damage or finish hits, and Strategists need to heal health points as much as possible.
- Get a certain number of KOs as Vanguards, KOs and assists as Strategists, and final hits as Duelists.
- Try to use your normal and team-up abilities as much as possible.
- Play at least 60 minutes with your hero.
Following these steps—as well as just sticking with your preferred Marvel Rivals hero—will allow you to level up their proficiency more quickly, and eventually unlock their Lord icon.
