The first chapter of Tales of Graces f Remastered does a great job of introducing the battle mechanics. The battles are less challenging, and enemies are generally weaker. However, when you join Asbel on his journey to young adulthood seven years later in Chapter 2, the difficulty spikes; stronger enemies will be encountered on the field, especially when playing in moderate or hard settings. The monsters are more challenging, but they yield more item drops and experience points (EXP).

How To Escape Battles In Tales Of Graces F Remastered
The process of escaping a battle in Tales of Graces f Remastered isn’t always obvious, and some players may feel like their characters are stuck with no means of getting to safety. If your party is overwhelmed, use the following steps to escape:
Battle Preparation
- Before getting into a battle, open the menu.
- Then, select the Artes tab.
- Select Asbel if he is your party’s leader and confirm.
- Then, change the control mode to Semi-Auto or Manual. This ensures that you have more control over your party leader during combat in Tales of Grace f and run away if necessary.
Escaping Battles
If the party is approaching defeat in battle or facing insurmountable odds, it would be wise for players to run away and live to fight another day.
Enemies can hit you as you’re running away, which means that they can kill you before the escape gauge is full. So, if your health is low, use a healing item in Tales of Graces f before you make a run for it.
First, pull the character away from the enemies to avoid getting hit. Run them toward the circular arena line that marks the escape boundary. After a few seconds of running in place, an escape gauge will display on the screen. This gauge shows the party’s progress toward a successful escape. Once it reaches maximum capacity, the entire party will escape to safety. Tales of Graces f is a large enough game that your party can gain experience and return stronger.
You can’t escape boss or story-related battles, so make sure your party is well-rested and healed before engaging in combat. Fortunately, if you lose a boss fight, you can immediately replay the battle, heal your party, and make sure they’re better prepared.
