Dragon Ball DAIMA is approaching a final stage in the hunt for the Demon Realm Dragon Balls. Goku and Vegeta successfully toppled two of the three Tamagamis, but they’ve become unwitting pawns in a larger plot. While Supreme Demon King Gomah frantically blocks the First Demon World entrance and calls in some elite backup, everything falls into place for Dr. Arinsu during Episode 14, “Taboo”. Earth’s heroes have found many unlikely allies since Dragon Ball DAIMA began, but one is now primed for a devastating betrayal.

In just the second episode of Dragon Ball DAIMA, the mysterious Glorio made his way to the lookout and offered to help Goku reach the Demon Realm. While a few details have drawn suspicion from Supreme Kai, Glorio has yet to be discovered while secretly communicating with Dr. Arinsu. Thanks to Majin Duu, she’s already secured the One-Star Demon Realm Dragon Ball. When Goku and friends finally reach the First Demon World, the biggest threat may be closer than they realize.

Dragon Ball DAIMA Nears First Demon World Showdown

Despite the looming threat of a terrifying puppy, Panzy and Bulma finally repaired their ship just in time for everyone to escape from the Planet of Mega in the last episode of Dragon Ball DAIMA. As Glorio flies them towards the Warp-sama in hopes of reaching the First Demon World, Panzy calls Peral to get an update to her father. When Bulma learns King Kadan is trying to steal a plane, she offers to give them planes in exchange for some Majilite. Everything appears to be going smoothly, but Supreme Demon King Gomah is preparing for the worst.

After taking the drastic move of disabling the Warp-sama, Gomah has also called in his most elite group of warriors. The Gendarmerie Force are truly demolishing some tasty snacks when Gomah and Degesu arrive, and the five surprised fighters jump right into an elaborate presentation sequence very reminiscent of the Ginyu Force. Brushing off warnings about facing someone that defeated Majin Buu and the Tamagamis as mere exaggeration, the Gendarmerie Force are more focused on getting extra snacks. Their trip to the store leads to a hilarious, albeit uneventful, meeting with Majin Duu and Majin Kuu. Aside from briefly bonding over a shared love of chocolate, the moment also teases a potential future collision between Gomah and Arinsu’s top fighters.

When their plane finally arrives at the Warp-sama, Goku and company discover it has been disabled and dangerous electrified shields block the tunnels connecting the three Demon Worlds. Goku’s brilliant plan is to poke the shield with his Power Pole and subsequently electrocute himself, but deus ex Neva has it all under control. As they soon discover, Neva actually created these shields long ago in hopes of bringing peace to the Second Demon World. Now ready to “air out the Demon Realm a bit”, Neva recites a spell (seemingly in Namekian) that dispels the shields and clears their path as Glorio flies everyone through the tunnel.

Worried the plane won’t survive entry into the First Demon World, they decide to fly the final stretch. Supreme Kai, Goku, Piccolo, and Panzy exit the plane as Bulma realizes she’s the only one who can’t fly. Before being carried out by Vegeta, Bulma tells Hybis to grab the Dragon Balls. This leaves Glorio and Hybis as the last to depart, and Glorio offers to carry one of them. As soon as they descend from the sky, the Gendarmerie take notice. Gomah’s forces quickly open fire and pursue the group as Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 14, “Taboo”, comes to a close. With double agent Glorio in place, Dr. Arinsu is on the cusp of success. If Glorio can use the chaos to slip away with both Demon Realm Dragon Balls and somehow take Neva with him, it might already be summoning time in the next episode of Dragon Ball DAIMA.
