Dragon Ball Daima Could Make Super Saiyan 4 Canon

Dragon Ball Daima has proven to be a gem so far, and fans are absolutely loving the direction this story has been taking. While, initially, a lot of the readers assumed that Daima would enjoy a lower popularity compared to the older Dragon Ball series, the most recent of which was Dragon Ball Super, things turned out quite well in the long run.

Daima has been running for a few months now, and it is safe to say that it’s been an enjoyable ride already. The adventure for Goku and the other Z Warriors in the Demon Realm still continues and fans are eagerly waiting to see what exciting plot points the story focuses on next. Curiously enough, a lot of the fans seem adamant about the idea of Super Saiyan 4 in Dragon Ball Daima, and it is safe to say that this isn’t an idea entirely out of the realm of possibilities.

What Is Super Saiyan 4?

Super Saiyan 4 is, as the name implies, the 4th transformation in the Super Saiyan line. However, this transformation is, strictly speaking, non-canon. Super Saiyan 4 appears in Dragon Ball GT, which, as many fans might know already is not a canon story despite being as fun as it is. Super Saiyan 4 is the next level that Goku and Vegeta manage to hit in Dragon Ball GT and the concept of the power is directly connected to the Great Apes. To obtain Super Saiyan 4, one needs to first obtain the Golden Great Ape transformation, which is quite difficult to do in itself. Then, gaining conscious control over this power can allow one to access Super Saiyan 4. This form, designed originally by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, the same guy who is the current character designer of Dragon Ball Daima, could potentially make it back into the Dragon Ball Daima canon.

How Daima Could Make Super Saiyan 4 Canon

While the Super Saiyan transformation doesn’t exist in the Dragon Ball canon, fans are adamant they’ll get to see it in Daima, officially making it a canon transformation. The reason behind this could very well just be that this is a transformation accessible only in the Demon Realm due to its special properties. After having seen Vegeta gain the power of Super Saiyan 3 recently and going against what was originally established in the story, it is entirely possible that something similar could happen with Super Saiyan 4 as well.
