The Increase in Blue Box Manga Sales Thanks To The Anime

The Manga Sales Skyrocket

The Blue Box manga sales have increased by a significant amount since the release of its animated series. The anime airing coincides with volume 17 and volume 18 of the series, and a noticeable increase can be seen for these two volumes, especially volume 18, specifically when compared to volume 16, which had a significant drop to the ones before it.

Indeed, before volume 16, the manga volumes of Blue Box would average close to over 100k copies sold, but volume 16 fell short of that. With the anime airing, however, volume 17 picked up the pace and went back over 100k copies sold by a good amount, and volume 18 blew that away, by surpassing 150k copies sold, which is a first in Blue Box history. These numbers will, of course, also continue to increase, especially as the anime of Blue Box is nowhere near its final episode for this first season.

When it comes to total copies sold while the anime of Blue Box is airing, it is way over a million, specifically around 1,180,040 copies. This is around half a million in October, a quarter of a million in November, and about 400k in December. In comparison, the total number of copies sold of all time for Blue Box is around 6.5 million copies. So these three months alone would make up around a sixth of all copies sold. For reference, this manga has been ongoing since 2021.

Blue Box only has 15 episodes out so far, and it is listed for 25 episodes, which will give the manga ample time to sell even more copies. The number of copies in circulation will only increase over the next few months for this manga.
