AMD’s most recent AM4 CPU launches, the Ryzen 7 5800XT and the Ryzen 9 5900XT, released along with its newer 9000 series, are amongst the fastest CPUs users can buy on that platform. Team Red’s pricing, however, has left a lot more to be desired when it comes to the 5800XT in particular, which, unlike the 5900XT, does not come with a core count bump versus its predecessor.

Is The Ryzen 7 5800XT Good For Gaming?
While the 5800XT is no slouch at gaming thanks to a clock speed that is marginally (100 MHz) higher than the 5800X, it is beaten fairly easily in benchmarks by more ‘specialist’ gaming CPUs such as the 5600X3D, 5700X3D, and yesterday’s gaming juggernaut, the 5800X3D.
