A video game industry analyst gives their thoughts on the Nintendo Switch 2’s launch price and the impact it could have on fans.
Now leaker eXtas1s has potentially provided more insight on Microsoft’s plans for the Switch 2. If the leaks are to be believed, Diablo 4, Fallout 4, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and Starfield might all be in development for the Switch 2. Diablo 4 in particular appears to be most likely to come to the Switch 2, which makes sense. After all, Blizzard brought Diablo 3 to the original Switch back in 2018, and since Diablo 4 is a cross-gen game, it shouldn’t have much trouble running on Nintendo’s new handheld.
Xbox Games Rumored for the Switch 2
- Diablo 4
- Fallout 4
- Halo: The Master Chief Collection
- Microsoft Flight Simulator
- Starfield
As far as the Bethesda games go, it really wouldn’t be all that surprising to see them on the Switch 2 either. Bethesda brought Skyrim to the original Switch, and so it makes sense for it to bring some of its other games to the console’s successor. Fallout 4 has remained hugely popular since its release in 2015, and while Starfield hasn’t enjoyed quite the same longevity, it has still been a massive sales and critical success for the company. Expanding Starfield to the Switch 2 will give even more gamers the opportunity to try it out, potentially growing interest in the IP in the process.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator are likely to raise the most eyebrows when it comes to rumored Switch 2 games, but this isn’t the first time that we’ve heard of these titles potentially going multi-platform. There have been persistent rumors that Halo is leaving Xbox exclusivity behind this year, with The Master Chief Collection apparently planned not just for the Switch 2, but the PS5 as well. Time will tell if there is any truth to these rumors, but more information should come to light in the months ahead.
