If you were to ask Sonic fans what game they want a remake of, it would almost definitely be one of the Sonic Adventure games. They are the fan favourites, after all, and many would love to get the chance to play them on modern hardware and see what they would look like with more up-to-date visuals.
Now, we have a taste of what this could be like. 3D artist Lixes has completely remade the intro, putting their own spin on it with completely new visuals and animations. It still uses the iconic theme song, Open Your Heart by Crush 40, but other than that, it’s a new take on how Sonic Adventure opens.

Lixes shared the animation the other day, and it’s already got more than one million views on Twitter. It’s a hit with other Sonic fans, who are all amazed by the level of detail and effort that’s gone into this new intro for Sonic Adventure.
Much like the original, it focuses on the enemy of Chaos. However, this time, we see much more of Sonic, and even a real-time transformation into Super Sonic. Perhaps best of all, Sonic hits that classic Sonic Adventure post for the camera.

As for whether or not we’ll ever get a Sonic Adventure remake, there might be a chance. An old leak resurfaced recently, claiming that there will be remakes of both Sonic Adventure games between 2025 and 2026. This leak was first shared in 2022 and was dismissed at the time, but has proven accurate with its other predictions, like Sonic Superstars and Sonic Frontiers DLC. We’ll have to wait and see if the rest of the leak proves accurate.
