It imagines what the Generation 1 Grass starter Bulbasaur would look like in real life, and the details are awesome. Although it undoubtedly loses the cute nature of the original design, that feels unavoidable, as I_am_the_moth takes a photo-realistic approach to their artwork. For example, gone are the wide eyes of Bulbasaur, instead replaced by the beady round eyes of a toad. It’s an interesting take on Bulbasaur, and it would definitely be cool to see other Pokemon recreated in a similar style.
