Marvel Rivals Players Can Claim a New MCU Bundle, but There’s a Catch

NetEase Games surprises Marvel Rivals players by once again offering a free cosmetic bundle to fans of the popular hero shooter, but there’s a catch.

Ina post on the Marvel Rivals subReddit, a player named Habooskie reveals that they were able to reach Grandmaster 3 rank using a pacifist only run with the strategist character Rocket Raccoon. To prove the achievement, Habooskie posted screenshots of their stats with Rocket, showcasing 108 matches played in just under 19 hours, earning 71 wins, 3,460 assists, and 0 KOs with 0 damage done. As a counter to that, Habooskie wracked up an impressive 2.9 million healing done to ensure their teammates could stay alive and win.

Fan Reaction to Pacifist Rocket Run in Marvel Rivals

Following the reveal and stats from Habooskie, reactions in the comments were somewhat mixed. Naturally, there were many who were impressed by the dedication to a pacifist run, and others who likely noted how potentially toxic this could have been for them to complete. On the other side of the argument, there were some who questioned how much of an impact Habooskie was able to have on rounds when his team wasn’t performing up to its potential. More than a few pointed out that a pacifist run is only likely possible with Rocket, due to other Marvel Rivals strategist characters having to be more offensive to defend themselves, or having abilities that directly hurt the enemy team.

Besides full pacifist runs, players have continued to find unique and sometimes odd strategies to help their team win. One player in particular managed to use portals with Doctor Strange to mess with other Marvel Rivals players. Somehow, the Doctor Strange player was able to position their portal by the sun, essentially blinding enemy players who look in the direction of it. For a capture game mode, this method certainly gave the player’s team an advantage, preventing range damage characters like Hawkeye from being able to see clearly.
