Gray’s Last Hunt is a side quest in Stalker 2 pitting players against a rare mutant called the Hornhead, which is quite hard to take down.
How to Save Pvt. Tymchenko in Stalker 2
Players will encounter Pvt. Tymchenko inside a school building in Kopachi POI located inside the Cement Factory region of Stalker 2. The location is just north of the Cement Factory base and east of the Slag Heap base. Once you come close to the school building in the location, Skif will receive a radio transmission from Tymchenko, calling for help.
Getting close to the building will swarm a hoard of Snork mutants from inside the building, as they’ll crawl out and start attacking the players. They’ll quickly disperse and attack from all directions, so it’s best to focus on one, eliminate it, and then shift focus to the next one.
Once all mutants are eliminated, head to the school building and turn left to meet up with Tymchenko. He will be grateful for Skif’s help and even offer a reward if asked. Players can also share the fate of their companion if they have encountered his body during exploration of The Zone.
Unlocking the Kopachi Underground Tunnels Locked Door
After helping out Tymchenko, peek into one of the open doors in the main hallway to spot a tunnel leading underground. This is the entry to the tunnel which has the Kopachi locked door as an exit. Drop into the tunnel and follow the winding underground path to arrive in a room full of Snorks. There’s also a series of caved-in houses here that players can check out to grab some loot lying around.
Eliminate the Snorks one by one until they’re all taken out. Players can explore this underground tunnel section in Kopachi to get valuable loot like ammo and medkits. Once everything is looted clean, head into one of the caved-in houses to the left to spot a door blocked with wooden boards. Break the wooden boards to exit out of the tunnel and into the open.
