In Palworld, recipes are not only essential for you and your Pals. Even when they’re not on the field or in combat, your Pals will still consume food. Therefore, it’s important to solve your food supply issues quickly. Otherwise, you’ll have to venture into the wild every time to gather ingredients, which comes with its own dangers.
You should identify which of your Pals at the base are suited for farming; with Pals that have work suitability for farming, planting, watering, and gathering, you can generate an endless supply of food from the plantations you plant. However, you’ll need seeds for plantations. This guide explains how to find onion seeds.
How To Get Onion Seeds
In Palworld, you need to build plantations to engage in farming. To build these plantations, you must first find the corresponding seeds. For an Onion Plantation, the essential item you’ll need is onion seeds. Each plantation requires three of the relevant seeds to build. Once constructed, your Pals at the base can produce an endless supply of onions for you.
Keep in mind that you must reach level 36 to build an Onion Plantation; otherwise, it will remain locked. Additionally, you’ll require the following materials:

To obtain the onion seeds necessary for building an Onion Plantation, you can hunt the Pals listed in the table below. Remember, onion seeds are not guaranteed to drop and only have a certain probability of doing so:

Since Vaelet is located in Wildlife Sanctuary No.1 and spawns infrequently, it’s not the most reliable option for onion seed farming. Instead, it’s better to hunt Cinnamoth in Moonless Shore and then move on to Verdant Brook to hunt Mossanda.
Keep in mind that capturing these Pals instead of killing them directly is a better strategy. Once captured, you can butcher them using a 
Meat Cleaver
or Pal Disassembly Conveyor, increasing the chances of obtaining their drops.
Once you’ve built an Onion Plantation, you’ll have a limitless supply of onions. Assigning a Prunelia to your base can make harvesting more efficient. Additionally, you can construct a Pal Labor Research Laboratory to unlock research that speeds up your farming process, such as Watering and Planting research subjects.
