Gameplay Overview
Initially, I didn’t enjoy the game very much, but thanks to its adorable visuals, I could try the game more and eventually started to like it with more time spent. The game features adorable Forest Maiden, Forest Sprite, Angel, Gorgon, Enchanted Fox, Witch, and more, who give you blessings and skills, along with adorable yet challenging monsters and elite enemies, offering an enjoyable gameplay experience.
You have to complete or survive 60 days in one Chapter, and being a text-based game, the gameplay is unique yet equally fun. You need 5x Energy to start a Chapter, which replenishes over time. However, as you progress, the game becomes challenging, so don’t be fooled by the initial chapters.
The Elites, which are like boss battles, can cause some trouble as they are strong. To face them and win, you will need to upgrade your talents and equip Capybara with the right gear. Habby includes a similar playstyle and even content-wise for most of its game, and you can find a lot of similarities to Habby’s Archero 2. However, if you die while trying to complete a chapter, you will have to start all over again, including collecting new skills again.
Additionally, once your Rage bar fills, your capybara does use Rage skills and Elites also have that. Luck also plays an important factor in the game, each day can be good, bad, and ugly, based on which your HP, ATK, and DEF attributes change. And never miss the unoccupied huts and campsites, as they heal you, and I believe HP is the most important in the game.
Capybara Go! Gameplay Basics
Talents
HP, ATK, and DEF are the key attributes in your match, and you can upgrade them in the Talents section. This section includes an Evolution Tree, which is similar to a ranking system, and the tree includes Apprentice, Adventurer, Elite, Master, Warrior, Hero, and Elite Legacy.
It starts from Apprentice 1, where each upgrade costs you 240 Gold, and you can max out each attribute to lv10, after maxing out all there, you reach Apprentice II, and so on. Moreover, the cost increases as you climb higher in the Evolution Tree, and your stats reset when you reach a new position, and the process continues.
Equip
After completing Chapter 1, you unlock the Equip section, which allows you to equip different equipment to enhance your character’s stats. These equipments are essential in the game, giving you additional advantage while you try to complete a chapter. You can use equipment such as Giant’s Hammer, Guardian’s Ring, Frostwin Horn, and more, which you can receive from the chests.
The Equip section also includes several subsections, such as Pets, Collectibles, Mount, Artifact, and Skin, which unlock as you clear more chapters. Additionally, you can also merge duplicate equipment to make them more powerful. And the Pets are very helpful, accompanying you in your journey and supporting you during battles.
Shop
The Shop is divided into four sections: Equipment Shop, Value Picks, Pack Shop, and Top Up. In the Equipment Shop, you can purchase Chapter Packs, and get Limited Secret Chests, Legendary Treasure Chests, Adventurer’s Supply Crates, and Hero’s Supply Crates.
From the Value Pack section, you can purchase Little Elle Pack I, Little Elle Pack II, Equipment Enhance Pack I, and Equipment Enhance Pack II with real money. Pack Shop features Daily Pack, Weekly Pack, and Monthly packs, each containing various sub-packs. Finally, you can purchase Gems from the Top Up section, which is the in-game currency of the game.
Capybara Go Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks
1. Upgrade your Talents, and climb the Evolution Tree
Firstly, You require decent HP, ATK, and DEF stats to progress smoothly, as weak stats can hinder your progress. Try to collect Gold, by clearing the initial chapters, completing various challenges and dungeons in the Events section, and watching ads to receive 1250 Gold from the Black Market. The faster you climb the Evolution Tree, the more advantages you receive, along with various rewards. Although the road is too long, the grind is worth it.
2. Equip your character with proper equipment, and keep upgrading them
Prioritize equipping your character with the best equipment. Make sure to merge the duplicates for better performance, and keep upgrading them. Improving the basic stats of your equipment is very important, and upgrade them strategically, starting from the most crucial ones and then working on the other equipment.
3. Choose your skills wisely
This is very important in this game, as it is an idle RPG, your skills don’t matter in the game, but your strategic prowess does. You should select skills, that benefit you during all the days to eliminate the monsters and humans easily. Look for skills that provide life-steal, heal you in any way, provide different elemental damage, and so on.
I would suggest you go for CRIT Mastery, Revive, Trinity Force, Life Steal, and Round Bolt, to name a few. They are great, increasing your damage and HP, and Revive is especially valuable as it gives you one more chance to clear the chapter without having to start from the beginning.
4. Avoid making deal with the Demon
I would suggest you avoid making deals with the Demon, as it is not that worth it in this game. And you shouldn’t sacrifice your HP, considering you can get bad luck, which decreases HP too. To clear the chapter, you need to maintain your HP.

Capybara Go! is a simple yet enjoyable text-based roguelike RPG, offering a variety of unique chapters, challenges, dungeons, and more, making it a great way to pass your time.
