With the dream of becoming a Pro-Hero within reach for most in the Quirk-filled world of My Hero Academia, it’s only logical that hero schools are formed to prepare these hero hopefuls for their future careers. From hero practicals to internships with veteran Pro-Heroes, these schools set their students up for success.
Although UA High is the most popular and well-known of the bunch, a few other Hero institutions are introduced throughout the series. Whether it’s their students duking it out for their Hero Licenses or working together to hold out against the rising tide of villains, here are all the hero schools you can find in My Hero Academia.

Eishu High School
There’s not much known about Eishu High School as they were only briefly mentioned in the Team-Up Missions manga. However, they seem to be as proficient and prestigious as UA and Shiketsu, earning third place during the National Hero Course Ski Jump Tourney competition.
Unfortunately, there’s not much more information on Eishu, but it could be assumed that they played a hand during the Final War, linking up their security system with UA’s to help evacuate the refugees.

Isamu Academy High School
A hero school only created for the anime, Isamu Academy was featured in the OVA episode, Training of the Dead. Apparently, Isamu is located close to UA, wherein Isamu sent four of its hero students over to UA to join Class 1-A on a Hero training exercise.
Naturally, things don’t run so smoothly. Although all four Isamu students’ Quirks are formidable, Fujimi Romero’s Zombie Virus Quirk goes out of control and turns a majority of the students (including his own classmates) into zombies. Isamu Academy isn’t mentioned anywhere outside the OVA episode, however, and there isn’t any more information about them.

Seijin High School
A hero school with the coolest uniform to boot, Seijin High School took part in the Hero License Exam with the other hero schools. Instead of focusing on other students in Class 1-A, the students of Seijin seem to have their eyes on only one of its powerhouses, Todoroki Shouto.
Using their environment, the Seijin students attempt to overpower and overwhelm Todoroki, who broke off from the rest of Class 1-A to go on his own. However, Todoroki tricked and outmaneouvred the Seijin students, and it could be presumed that some – if not all – of them didn’t pass, since Todoroki eliminated the students’ ringleader from the first round.

Seiai Academy
Featured during the Hero License Exam Arc, Seiai Academy is a hero school that seems to only enrol female students. Like the other hero schools, Seiai’s students targeted UA students, with Saiko Intelli quickly thinking up a plan using her IQ Quirk to take down Momo, Shoji, Tsuyu and Jiro.

Although Saiko’s plan nearly worked, it was foiled by Momo and Jiro, who used their Quirks to immobilise Saiko’s classmates. It isn’t clear if Saiko and her classmates passed the License Exam, since they weren’t mentioned nor made an appearance again after. It also isn’t clear where Seiai’s students were during the Final War, but since UA worked with other hero schools to create a linked security network, it’s safe to say Seiai also took part.

Ketsubutsu Academy High School
A hero school that could also be said to rival UA High, Ketsubutsu Academy was first shown during the Hero License Arc alongside Shiketsu. The school seems to have high standards and an impeccable reputation as well, with Pro-Hero Ms Joke working as a heroics teacher in the school.
Ms Joke’s class took part in the Hero Licensing Exam and targeted the UA students, since their Quirks were broadcast during the UA Sports Festival. Notable students include Shindo Yo (hero name Grand) and Tatami Nakagame (hero name Turtle Neck), both of whom took the initiative to corral civilians to safe havens during the Final War and were present to arrest the villain Skeptic.

Shiketsu High School
A lauded hero school, Shiketsu High School is stationed in the West of Japan and was considered UA High’s main rival, attracting students with powerful Quirks as UA does. However, unlike the other schools, Shiketsu’s students aren’t seen in their hero costumes when on the field, instead wearing their school uniform to represent their school.
Alongside Ketsubutsu, Shiketsu and its students were introduced during the Provisional Hero License Exam Arc, with notably powerful students like Yoarashi Inasa able to take out dozens of competing students simultaneously. Alongside UA, Shiketsu was targeted by the League of Villains (though their attacks are not as severe), with Toga Himiko impersonating one of its students, Camie Utsushimi, to infiltrate the exam.
During the Final War, Shiketsu served as a second refuge for civilians, while its students joined in the fight against All For One. The school also worked together with UA to create an interconnected security system for fast and easy evacuation in the event of an attack.

UA High School
UA High is deemed the top-ranking hero school in Japan, as well as the best hero school in the world. The school has produced some of the greatest heroes the world has ever seen, from the Symbol of Peace, All Might, to high-ranking heroes Endeavour and Edgeshot.
As expected, UA set high standards for its prospective hero students, with a difficult written and practical exam. With its massive budget, the school has state-of-the-art security measures, and a large pool of resources to train both its Hero students in rescue and combat work.
In the show, the school is the focal point for a series of attacks by the League of Villains (later the Paranormal Liberation Front). Later on, during the Final War, the school is a safe haven for refugees, even turning the campus into a floating fortress to isolate and defeat Shigaraki Tomura.
