Magic Chess: Go Go is Vizta Games‘ free-to-play chess-like multiplayer strategy title, which has soft launched in Malaysia and Singapore, with an Asia-Pacific launch release scheduled for early 2025. Based on Magic Chess mode, the most popular mode in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, it introduces several new features and items to the game, including various equipment, some from MLBB, some newly designed. In today’s equipment guide, we will discuss the basics of this equipment and the best builds for your heroes, for particular lineups.

If you are recently starting Magic Chess: Go Go, we have also covered a Beginner’s Guide, and a Ranked Guide, to help you with the basics. Also, remember to go through our redeem codes article to grab some freebies along the way.

Introducing Equipment in Magic Chess: Go Go

Magic Chess: Go Go includes a huge selection of equipment, and you can equip them to your mini MLBB heroes, to increase your combat power. The best part is that the equipment is free, so you don’t have to purchase them like you do in MLBB’s regular matches.

You can acquire equipment by defeating creeps, which unlock chests, and provide you with various equipment. Additionally, during the Draft Round, you can pick equipment that fits your lineup.

Equipment is categorized into five types: Physical, Magic, Defense, Magic Crystal, and Special Equipment. Each type provides several stat buffs or other bonuses that improve your competitive edge in the match. You can equip one hero with up to three items.

Types of Equipment in Magic Chess: Go Go

Physical

Physical equipment enhances the physical attack and attributes of your heroes, enabling them to deal more damage, attack faster, gain life steal, increase crit chance, and crit damage. These items particularly benefit heroes who only do physical attacks like the Marksman and Weapon Master roles.

The Astro Power plus Stargazer lineup is doing good for a lot of people, you can also use that lineup, for which I will share the build here to make the lineup more powerful for you. Not only that, I will provide fa ew more lineups, and the equipment necessary for them. And I am going to mention the heroes, that you need to equip these items with.

First of all, if you are very new to the game, you can go through our Beginner’s Guide, where I have provided two very strong lineups, that will at least help you win almost every match till Epic VI.

4 Guardian + 4 Marksmen + 2 Summoner + 2 Abyss

You can use the 4 Guardian + 4 Marksmen + 2 Summoner + 2 Abyss lineup, which you can improvise according to the situation. For this lineup, prioritize Golden Staff, Demon Hunter Sword, and either Haas’ Claws or Berserker’s Fury for Melissa. For the tanks, go for Immortality, Dominance Ice, Winter Crown, and Antique Cuirass. Try to get these items to strengthen your lineup. Additionally, in the first round, you can either choose Inspire or Retribution.

6 Defender + 4 Summoner + 2 Moniyan Plains

Melissa plays a very important role in this lineup as well. You can equip her with a Demon Hunter Sword, Haas’ Claws, and Golden Staff. For Terizla, prioritize getting Dominance Ice, Guardian Helmet, and Antique Cuirass. If you get additional tanky items, give them to Sun. For basic equipment, focus on getting Inspire over the other options.

6 Astro Power + 5 Stargazer

This lineup requires a significant number of equipment for best results. Luckily, obtaining equipment in this game is not as hard as MLBB’s magic chess mode. You can also get them from Go Go Cards. For this lineup, you should mainly focus on Winter Crown and Ice Queen Wand, and everything comes next.

Lunox serves as the main carry in this lineup, so equip her with these two items, along with either Holy Crystal or Feather of Heaven. Next, if you manage to acquire one more Ice Queen Wand, give it to Yve, and equip her Enchanted Talisman and Glowing Wand as well. Next comes Natan, and for him, prioritize getting Golden Staff, Feather of Heaven, and Winter Crown. Lastly, for Minotaur, equip him with Dominance Ice and Stargazer Magic Crystal.

Magic Chess: Go Guide: Best Equipment Build Tips and Tricks

Choosing the right equipment is more important than simply acquiring a lot of equipment. Sometimes, if your luck runs out and you get very little equipment, you can still make the most out of it during your match.

You should understand, which hero will benefit more from the specific equipment, and equip it accordingly. However, selecting the right equipment for your lineup can be challenging, especially since other players can also pick them during the Draft Round.

You should also transfer the equipment to different heroes based on the situation. Sometimes it can work better on a different hero. This ability to evaluate and improvise comes with experience and skills. Also, don’t think that a three-star hero is always the best option to equip these items with. It doesn’t work that way, as there are different rarities. For instance, a one-star five gold hero can outperform or showcase similar effectiveness of a three-star one gold hero when equipped correctly.

Some equipment also benefits allied heroes, so use them strategically. For instance, Oracle provides Group defense, granting 25 Magic and Physical DEF to allied heroes in the same row. Keep in mind that while the items are categorized into different types, it’s not restricted to specific roles.

For instance, you can use physical equipment like Golden Staff on Mages too to increase their attack speed, and Magic equipment like Winter Crown, or Purple Buff, can be used on any role. Finally, always prioritize the Go Go Magic Crystal. It is hands down one of the best equipment in the game, providing a significant advantage by increasing your capacity by 1, allowing you to draft 10 heroes instead of 9.
