Among the many reactions available for Genshin Impact players to utilize in order to beat the enemies they’re facing, Shatter has long been the least popular. This is due to how it goes against the purpose of Freeze, a reaction made to keep enemies locked.

We have some tips on which characters go great in pairs when fighting battles in Genshin Impact. These are our favorite duos.
Still, with units like Freminet coming out and Shatter having the same scaling as Hyperbloom, some characters can work well with a Shatter team. From Energy Batterying to buffing to dealing damage, here are the best Shatter characters in Genshin Impact.
9
Rosaria
Rosaria belongs to Mondstadt’s Church. However, despite her role, she doesn’t seem like much of a believer, often forgetting the name of Barbatos, the deity worshiped throughout Mondstadt. Her gameplay revolves around dealing high amounts of off-field Cryo damage using her Elemental Burst and batterying Cryo teammates using her Elemental Skill.
Both of these already make her extremely fitting for Shatter teams, applying Cryo and batterying your team. However, Rosaria takes this a step further by granting teammates a CRIT Rate buff after casting her Burst, as well as a Physical DMG Bonus once she gets her final constellation.

Shenhe
Shenhe is one of the first niche buffers released in Genshin Impact. She buffs Cryo mainly, being one of the top supports for Freeze teams that include Ayaka, Ganyu, or Wriothesley. While the Cryo DMG Bonus part of her kit is certainly the main selling point, Shenhe can also greatly buff the damage of your team’s Physical attacks.

These tips will help you get the most out of Neuvillette in Genshin Impact.
This makes Shenhe an extremely solid pick for any Shatter team, buffing both the Physical and Cryo damage of your party members. Furthermore, Shenhe’s passive adds another buff on top of everything else, increasing the damage of your active character’s Normal Attacks by a significant amount.
7
Beidou
Beidou is a splendid off-field DPS that provides AOE damage, shielding, and slight disruption in the form of Poise whenever her Burst hits an enemy. She’s great in any team and competitive with Fischl, but her AOE gives her an edge over teams with Fischl when dealing with a large number of enemies.
Poise is a type of damage in Genshin Impact that staggers enemies to stun them or push them away. This does not apply to bosses or bigger enemies but can work on Ruin Guards.
Batterying Beidou might become a problem unless you have units that provide a lot of Energy or Favonius users in your team, but if you can manage to make her Burst off-cooldown, each of her Burst procs can trigger both Shatter and Superconduct.
6
Mika
Released as a support to revive the Physical archetype, Mika is supposed to be a necessity in making any team that focuses on Physical DMG function. His Elemental Burst gives an Attack Speed boost to the active character, resulting in more attacks and thus more damage and Shatter triggers, and his passives grant Detector stats that buff Physical DMG.
Mika has some glaring weaknesses, though, including his Energy Recharge issues and non-synergy with some Physical carries, including Eula. Whether or not you might want Mika also depends on how many of his constellations you have access to since they increase his usefulness a ton.
If you’re one of the people lucky enough to have his C6, Mika suddenly becomes a must in any team where the main source of damage is Physical.
5
Yelan
Yelan is an off-field Hydro character that competes for the highest off-field damage in the game. While her damage is great and the DMG buff she gives the active character helpful, her Hydro application loses out to Xingqiu, lowering her usefulness in solo Hydro teams. Fortunately for Yelan, she applies just enough Hydro to work alone in a Shatter team.

These polearm choices will help you get the most out of Zhongli.
She doesn’t do much for the Shatter reaction; Yelan is just an extremely good Hydro unit that can slot into a Shatter team and deal a significant portion of the team’s damage while also enabling the Freeze prerequisite for Shatter.
4
Furina
In any team that wants a Hydro unit, Furina would always be one of the best options. This stands especially true for teams that don’t need a whole lot of Hydro application, as in the case with Hu Tao teams. She provides lots of personal damage and has one of the biggest damage buffs in the game, making her someone who can benefit any account.
While this buff doesn’t increase the damage of Shatter itself, it does increase your entire team’s DPS. So long as you have a decent enough healer to fill up Furina’s Fanfare stacks, such as Mika, you’ll find teams that include Furina to be the best Shatter teams in Genshin.
3
Razor
Maybe Razor isn’t the best Physical DPS. However, if we’ve learned anything about this adorable wolf from the Thundering Furry team, it’s that you shouldn’t underestimate him. Sure enough, Razor’s kit allows him to make full of the Shatter reaction in multiple ways.
While you can have him be the damage dealer by stacking CRIT on him, another more fun way to make use of this reaction is by giving Razor full Elemental Mastery, like in a Burgeon team. However, instead of putting Bennett with him, you team him up with Nahida, Rosaria, and Xingqiu.
Since Shatter scales off of EM, each of Razor’s attacks can now trigger both Hyperbloom and Shatter, dealing an average of 70k damage on each hit.
This team isn’t optimal and you’ll run into many issues piloting it, but it can make Razor deal upwards of 30k Physical DMG on each Shatter, making him the Physical DPS that hits the highest numbers with the most consistency.
2
Eula
Eula is Genshin’s only five-star character made with the Physical archetype in mind. While her Normal Attacks hurt plenty, the core of her kit is the Lightfall Sword summoned during her Elemental Burst, a massive nuke that deals damage scaling off of how many times Eula hits enemies before it goes off.
Eula’s kit is made to make the most of this Lightfall Sword. Her Elemental Skill grants her Grimheart stacks that make her harder to interrupt, and both her Normal Attacks and Elemental Skill have ways of hitting multiple times, giving her more stacks. Even without any specific synergy with Shatter itself, Eula’s motion values are so absurdly high that she slots in perfectly simply due to being a Cryo character.
1
Freminet
As one of Genshin Impact’s only Physical carries, Freminet competes for the top spot with Eula and Razor. Fortunately for him, unlike in pure Physical or Superconduct teams, Freminet has an advantage over the other two. This comes in the form of his passive which buffs his damage by a significant amount upon triggering Shatter.
This, paired with his already flexible kit, makes Freminet about as good as Eula in his Shatter teams once he reaches C6. He’s got more synergy with the archetype than any other character, and despite his otherwise lacking motion values, the benefits he gains from using Shatter makes him a truly terrifying Physical DPS.
