Once you’re into the later tiers of Satisfactory, there are going to be a lot of moving parts. There are going to be dozens of production chains that you’re managing altogether, and a lot of transportation put together to get everything where you need it to be.
Related
Tier 8 of Satisfactory does not have as much fun little stuff in it as some of the previous tiers, like Hoverpacks and improved Conveyor Systems both unlocked in Tier 7, but it does have a lot of engineering and production Milestones that are going to wildly change how you accomplish your goals.
Tier 8 Milestones
Tier 8 is one of the beefiest tiers when it comes to Milestones; just about everything here is immensely useful.
Aeronautical Engineering

By far the most convenient form of resource transportation, Drones are going to revolutionize everything you do. While other forms of transportation might be able to transfer more materials at a time, some forms are such a tremendous hassle to set up, either because of distance or the type of terrain that it’s going to be traveling across.
Drones bypass this problem by simply flying over all obstacles in their way. Set up one Drone Port at each end for each Drone that you want to set up, and those problematic resources are going to become much easier.
Nuclear Power

Building off of the Hazmat Suits that you unlocked in Tier 7 is the Nuclear Power that gets unlocked here. This is going to unlock quite a few different things that are related to the same mechanic, alongside a Project Part to send via the Space Elevator.
Primarily, it unlocks the ability to find Uranium with your scanner. Gaining access to Uranium is going to be necessary to start working with Nuclear Power at all.
Once you’ve obtained Uranium, you’ll be making Encased Uranium Cells into Uranium Fuel Rods, and using that to fuel the Nuclear Power Plant.
Advanced Aluminum Production

Aluminum Production is another thing you’ll have just started in the previous tier, but in Tier 8, you’ll get access to a lot more tools.
One of the better perks of this Milestone is the ability to gain Water as a scannable resource. This allows you to find geysers, which can act as water sources away from the bodies of water that you’d generally be using. This is going to do a lot for making water an easier resource to come by.
This Milestone also gives you access to things like Heat Sinks, Cooling Systems, and Fused Modular Frames, various crafting/crafted components you’re going to need for various recipes, some of which pertain to Nuclear Power.
Leading-Edge Production

Leading-Edge Production is one of the smaller Milestones in terms of unlocks, but its impact is going to be huge.
This Milestone does unlock a Project Part, the Thermal Propulsion Rocket, which you’re going to need to send up via the Space Elevator.
But, the exciting thing coming with Leading-Edge Production is the Miner Mk. 3, which you’ll need the Turbo Motor in order to craft. This Mk.3 Miner is going to improve your resource-gathering possibilities, allowing you to upgrade more or less everything you do with the improved resources per minute.
Particule Enrichment

Finally, the Particle Enrichment Milestone unlocks the Particle Accelerator, which is every bit as impressive as it sounds. This is a building that’s needed to produce a lot of the late-game recipes, including some unlocked in this very Milestone, like Nuclear Pasta.
The Particle Accelerator does use a variable amount of power, depending on what you’re using it to craft, and how far into the crafting cycle it is. The further into the cycle, the more power the Particule Accelerator is going to need.
Tier 8 Goals And Tips
For Tier 8, you’re likely going to want to prioritize Aeronautical Engineering, Advanced Aluminum Production, and Leading-Edge Production.
Aeronautical Engineering is going to unlock the Drones and Drone Ports, and you’ll likely want to get those set up as soon as you can, particularly if you’re looking to set up any more resource gathering nodes/transportation.
As for Advanced Aluminum Production, there are certain things you’re going to need to unlock there in order to fully enjoy the Nuclear Power.
Leading-Edge Production and the better Miners that come with it are next, and while they aren’t strictly necessary, few people will want to turn down extra resource production. Better Miners are going to speed up everything else you’re doing, provided you have the framework built around it to make use of that increased speed.
From there, you’ll be free to invest into Nuclear Power and Particle Enrichment, as you’ll have all the tools necessary to do so. Ideally, you’ll be setting up a good supply of Nuclear Power, because of the incredible amount of power that the Particle Accelerator can require.
