The Sun God could be a destroyer. Why he might destroy the One Piece world is a mystery.
Nika, in particular, has been extremely important in the Elbaf arc, as expected, given that they worship this deity and have been doing so for years. Nika, the Warrior of Liberation, is directly connected to Luffy, but he isn’t the only character that Nika could be tied to. There is one more Strawhat who Nika could share a similarity with and that person is none other than Sanji, the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates.
The Two Destructions Of The World
- The World Of One Piece Has Been Destroyed Two Times
- Joy Boy Was Present During The Second Destruction
Given how far the story has come, it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that the world of One Piece has been destroyed twice already. The Void Century is the most recent destruction that the One Piece world oversaw, and during this era, an individual named Joy Boy was born in a lush and bountiful kingdom. This kingdom is, as fans know, the Ancient Kingdom, a very powerful, prosperous, and the most scientifically advanced Kingdom to have existed in a long time. In fact, this Kingdom was so advanced that even Egghead, which is considered to be the most advanced place in the current timeline, is actually a relic of the past and a bad imitation of what science was 900 years ago. Then, of course, the Great War erupted, which saw the 20 King alliance get together and take on the Ancient Kingdom in battle and destroy them in a 100-year war. This war was absolutely massive and the repercussions it had on the planet were great as well. During this 100-year war, the world sank.
A total of 200 meter rise in sea level was observed and most countries of the world were completely inundated. Whatever bits of land remained are what fans know today as the multiple islands of the Grand Line. This was the last known Destruction of the world, overseen by the Sun God Nika, in the form of Joy Boy.

Before that, the world was destroyed once. This destruction happened in the era of the original Nika, who fans know originated from Elabaf. The Giant Nika, whose tales are famous to this day among certain people, fought in such a massive war that the entire world was engulfed in it and changed completely. It is unknown if Nika is a god of liberation or a god of destruction, but what is known is that Nika always oversees a great change, which is why those in power always fear his descent upon the world.
Sanji’s Dream Of The All Blue And The Free World
Sanji Wants To Find The Sea That Has It All
As fans know, Sanji has a very exciting dream of wanting to find the All Blue. The All Blue is a massive ocean that is considered to be mythical in nature. It has water from all four blues poured in and, as such, all the marine life that exists can be found here. It’s known known to be a paradise for every cook. Sanji intends to find the All Blue, and this is a massive dream comparable to the One Piece itself. While the All Blue might look small on the surface, fans know that it carries massive implications, especially after the sinking of the world. Long ago, the use of Ancient Weapons sank the world. Before that, the world had a tremendous amount of land of which only bits and pieces remain now.

However, even before that, it is possible that the Red Line was erected, possibly by the first enemy that the real Sun God Nika fought. The Red Line is not a normal occurrence by any means. This piece of land was either erected by the World Government during the war against Joy Boy, or by the enemy that the Sun God Nika fought before Joy Boy’s arrival. It is clear that the erection of this massive continent is what separated the seas, marking an end to the All Blue.

Nika, who fought against a very powerful enemy centuries ago, likely wanted to preserve the All Blue. Similarly, Joy Boy was undoubtedly vehemently against the sinking of the world and would tried his best to prevent that. The All Blue itself is directly connected to freedom, since the creation of the All Blue requires the destruction of the Red Line, and with it, those who sit at the very top, the World Government. In many ways, what Sanji dreams to do is a part of the dream that Joy Boy, and potentially even the original Sun God Nika carried.
Will Luffy and Sanji’s Dreams Be Connected?
Sanji And Luffy’s Goals Have Always Been Connected
Sanji’s dream is to find the All Blue and fans already know that. However, this ocean isn’t easy to come across at all. In fact, while there are hits and pieces about the Void Century and the One Piece out there, the All Blue is such a mystery that absolutely nothing about it is known right now. But, Sanji will truly uncover it at the end of One Piece, but to do that, he must realize the dream of the Sun God Nika. Luffy, Joy Boy, Nika, and Sanji all likely intend to do the same thing and it is all connected to one core concept—Liberation. Sanji doesn’t particularly vie for the liberation of the world, even though he is entirely for the freedom of everyone. He cares about the All Blue and wants to see the sea. Similarly, Luffy, Joy Boy, and Nika likely didn’t care about the All Blue, but they care about a free world where everyone is connected and traversing to different parts isn’t impossibly difficult. But, these two concepts are intertwined. Sanji wants the All Blue and Nika is a liberator of the world. Only by tearing down the Red Line can both goals be met. The world can truly be freed, while the All Blue can finally be created. As such, Sanji’s goal will always be directly connected to Nika, which makes it doubly special.
