Even so, those that want to guarantee themselves a Switch 2 console on launch day should definitely make sure to pre-order the new system whenever they are able to do so.
When Nintendo does announce Switch 2 pre-orders, the information will almost certainly come alongside the console’s planned release date and price. It’s rumored that the Switch 2 price may be as high as $449.99 with an optional $499.99 Mario Kart bundle, though others have suggested that the system will cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $399.99 instead. As for its release date, some have claimed that the Switch 2 is launching in May, while others believe the new console will be released in June. I’m inclined to believe the latter, as it will be easier for retailers to make the necessary space and preparations with two months notice.
